Dumb Rose question #428 - competing fragrances an issue?

So.... fragrance is described as 'fruity', 'old rose', 'raspberry' 'hints of citris' and other things. Well, what happens if you plant two very fragrant roses.... within say.... 10' of each other such that as a person walks up or down that pathway, he or she will be passing by both bushes. Do the rose fragrances clash?

I'm not talking about personal preferences, so much as literally... can there be too much of a good thing? Should a person plant a path using all the same rose - so it all smells the same? Or plant an 'old rose' strongly fragranced rose, then 10' of other plants or roses with no fragrance, THEN plant another highly fragranced rose (? myrrh) or something - keeping them separate?

In planning out your rose gardens... does anyone take fragrance into account?

What about mixing the fragrances of roses with another plant, say gardenias? Problems?
