Glad to know I'm not alone with 'wrong' answers that seem better than the right ones! I've never heard of 'upwards battle', either. Sometimes I wonder if maybe some of these puzzles are thought up by people who are not fluent in English, so sayings come out different than how we would say them. I had 'High times' for #6, too, but never did come up with anything that made sense for #4. 'One cut above' was all I came up with for #4, and I was pretty sure it was wrong. But I enjoy these, as puzzling as they can be!! Rusty

I never did settle on anything for A2, tried to come up with something about contact sports, boxers, sports ring, etc., nothing worked. Don't think I'd have ever figured it out. 'Sixteen' was my first guess for A3, then thought that couldn't be right. (Glad to see others came up with the same thing.) and changed my mind to 'Dean's list'. Had 'Follow the dots' for B3, close enough? And 'One Day at a Time" for D1, and that song has been going through my mind ever since. Never did get D3, even with the hints. All I could see was something to do with cards, but I don't know enough card game terms, so thought maybe 'Jack of Diamonds'. But knew from the clues that that was wrong. (But I like it better than the real answer.) And the bonus gave me some trouble, too, until I realized I was reading the 'o' as a zero. Then it got easy. This was really a good puzzle, a good mix all the way from easy to durned near impossible. At first glance it looked like it was going to be really tough, but after a closer look, some were pretty easy. Lots of fun, as always, thanks, Jasdip! Rusty

B1 I did eventually get with help from the discussion. I originally had blind curves (no see you) but realized of course that was an unlikely stretch. C3 I had infection wave, which I like better than spreading infection but not as much as sinus infection. D3 I got with help, though Burlington was one of the cities stuck in my mind. Finally, I missed the bonus. I saw BU and thought ”you be back in a minute.” Another which I realized was an unlikely stretch.
