Late ‘70’s Bathroom remodel

Kimgeraci.com
last year

Posting on behalf of my daughter and son-in-law in the process of remodeling their(new to them) late ‘70’s, Texas,
MCM ranch house.

Questions: What to do with this large, doorless, tiled shower. Completely open with good natural light during the day. We do not like the tile. Any advice on painting tile? We like the look of black tile. Pros? Cons? New faucet and shower head. We are leaning toward gold. Thoughts?

Needing to add a bathtub without costly construction. It will be freestanding, no faucet, filled by shower head and drain directly into shower. Wanting tub to be black. Yes? No?

Painting walls and trim in bathroom SW Pearly White but stumped on cabinet color. New cabinet top, probably granite with elevated, countertop mounted sinks.(countertop height is too low, thought this would help, husband is 6ft tall) Countertop and sinks White also? Sink faucets will match shower.
If shower is black, thoughts on painting interior doors (closet door, linen closet)black?
Vanity lighting?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts, ideas or advice!

Sincerely,
A mom and dad of 3, working full time and doing our best to bring our dream home into reality without kids going hungry!!
