What about suction type hooks on the doorthat are for towels. If it won't stay maybe the glass could be drilled if that stops it hitting. A towel on the hook should cushion it. Would a towel bar on the door stop it? Maybe one could be added. If not the door, could a towel bar be added to the side of the sink or a hook with a towel there? ? I don't know what kind of sink you have. Maybe there's another hinge that can be used on the door that would limit how far it can open.

Oh my gosh! Thank you for all the replies! I had signed up for email notifications if/when someone responded and never got an email, so I assumed no one reponded! Ok, the dimensions are 9x6 approximately. Yes, the door on the left goes into our bedroom and the walk in closet is directly behind the tub. The sink actually goes all the way to the door but that program didn't have any sinks that size. My problem with getting rid of the door from our room to the bathroom is that I would have NO idea how to best utilize that space. There is a wall sticking out to enclose the bathtub, which basically makes that spot dead space, with or without the door. We have a small (6 feet tall, 18 inches wide) free standing linen cupboard up agains that wall. If I were to get rid of the door, and put in a linen closet, would it face the tub just as the sink does? I'd love to take that wall down and put in a corner tub but I don't think that would work with how little space we have. Thank you so much to the person who uploaded the pic of my bathroom!!!!!!! The cook must live in a place where bathtub size is specified in the plumbing code. I have never seen it, and it certainly is not in either the UPC or IPC, the codes in most common use. You can have any width tub you like. The plumbing code does not care one way or another. Oceana has tubs for small spaces, some as narrow as 22" However, unless you are very petite, I doubt a tub as narrow as 26" will very comfortable for a shower.

This is current master bath, but we are doing an addition for the master suite and this will be come the guest en suite. @Greg GN Builders. we had a door there before, it was in the same opening and opened into the shower. I hated it. That's why we thought of a pocket door however nobody realized the light switch issue until now. @3onthetree the shower is 30x30. It's a super tiny stall but we've had a vanity in there already. Basically it's one person at a time in the bathroom. @KW PNW Z8 We had a vanity before and I wanted to go with a pedestal because I feel like it will open the room up a bit. You're right we give up the cabinet space but we have a large medicine cabinet mirror and we have 16x32 builtin shelves to the left of the sink where I can store a hair dryer and put things in nice baskets. Since it will be a guest bath, we don't want to store a lot in there anyway. To all who asked about moving the door or going to a swinging door, the pocket door is already framed in. The lights witch discovery was after framing. So we're going to have to make this work somehow. I never even thought about it honestly. That's a dilemma for sure.
