I've seen them around here. But bananas are having some difficulties. There is a pandemic with the plants, some weather disruptions, and some shipping disruptions.

Trader Joe's had plenty of bananas when I was there two days ago.

No shortage that I've noticed here on the NW coast. DH has a banana every morning - we are rarely without bananas.

How about sesame seeds? Somehow my local health food store has been unable to get any from their suppliers for at least 6 weeks. I meant to look in the grocery store today but I forgot.

NE Ohio they had them last week on Tuesday when I did my grocery shopping, I believe I remember 49 cents a lb.

Upstate NY. I scored 2 bananas today! they were 60 cents each. :p

Lots of bananas here too, they were 29 cents a pound at Aldi, but 69 cents for organic. I bought the cheap ones because they looked better, the organic ones were very ripe. I made a banana cream pie for Christmas.

agmss15: As for sesame seeds, a new law went into effect for sesame, or cross contamination with them, to be listed on labels. Since many factories cannot easily contain the cross contamination, they are instead adding a bit of sesame to their products and labeling them as containing such. Unfortunately, this will make it even more difficult for those affected by sesame allergies to find sesame-free products. The increase in demand for the product might be causing a shortage in some supply lines, at least in the short term.

Plenty of bananas around the Chicago area. Eggs are sky high with prices but there is no shortage. Un sweetened cereal has been difficult to find.

as expensive as eggs are, they are still priced well ... unless you plan on eating a dozen. have seen them for 3.50 to 5 dollars a dozen lately. more for free range
