Comments (20)The LEGO world map that my husband and I gave each other for Christmas. There are forty squares 4 by 8 inches that are done separately and then joined together. My husband and I did one each every day since Christmas, listening to a travel podcast. Very relaxing. Whew! It all came together. Comments (29)I suppose I could if I could figure it all out jrb. The whole point of the point n shoot camera is to not have to futz with all that stuff. I have an iphone 15 pro which I LOVE. It is point n shoot and it's clear and it has lots of easy to adjust setting that yield a terrific result. The only reason I got the canon was that it can go up to 65x zoom which I wanted for taking shots of distant animals, but so far the results have been most disappointing. And all that futzing means the animal is long gone by the time I get it figured out. Once you take it out of manual mode, there are various "priority" settings such as shutter speed, but then you have to manually set all the rest and it's complicated how to do all that, and if it's not right, then you get nothing. Most of it is I'm sure that I don't know what I'm doing. I really need to take lessons with someone who knows how to operate the camera and then I'd know for sure if it was the equipment or the operator....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Su 12/1/24

This is how our Pre-New Years went. One of the rentals garage doors collapsed. Found one in stock & replaced it before everything closed today. Yay!!!! You see...if I had to order it....would not have been here until April 13!- 3 years agolast modified: 3 years ago
My 2022 ended on a good note! A bearing in our 20 year old furnace went and rather than fix it we opted for a new furnace. It warmed up here to between -15 C and -20 C so it wasn’t too bad having the furnace shut off for two days. Thank goodness it wasn’t during the -40 spell. The basement infloor heating and our fireplace kept things okay.
One of the guys who came to install the furnace looked just like Dave Grohl (I didn’t get a picture) and I did feel bad that he had to go through over a foot of snow on the roof to do some venting☹️ Good thing he could access it on the lowest part of the house, though.
And the skies have been a magnificent blue.
3 years agoNo snow here in January which is very unusual for where I live in Canada. My walk this morning, I moved the camera when I snapped the photo but I like the effect.
3 years agoThis is a photo that reminds me how much I've enjoyed seeing things with new eyes in participating in our photo thread. It also reminds me how much I'm looking forward to the snow disappearing!
