Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Need your advice on front door color (and maybe siding too)

We want to repaint our front door, but later this spring we will probably repaint the facia and siding. Appreciate your advice on both. FYI - My wife likes a bit of a brighter front door - we are not opposed to staying reasonably close to our same color. Thought I would post and get your valued opinions!

Some of the SW colors that were a match to the siding were 7547 sandbar, 9611 , 9513, 9606, 6149 relaxed khaki. For the stone some color matches were: 2813 downy straw, 9601 symettry , 7527

If it was my house this is what I would do. I would remove the shutters, paint the siding, trim and pergola in a dark gray to make the stone stand out. I would also paint the window frames in black and install a wood front door to match the garage door. In your photo we can't see a sconce nor house numbers so I would install nice black large ones. I don't know what the chimney is made of, looks perhaps like bricks so I would paint that in a colour to match the stone. The landscaping can also be improved for more curb appeal.

I will agree with @lisedv I would choose a dark gray leaning to navy blue. a Vibrant pink/orange front door, if you can't go with a door to match your garage.

Sorry, I just don't see the craftsman style working here, windows OR door. I'm not coming up with a door that would permit you to look outside. I see a solid door or one with two rectangular lights at the top -- you'd have some light, but couldn't see out (and no one could see in). Think twice about hanging shutters too narrow to (visually) completely cover a window. If you are going to paint the door, don't spend a lot on wood good enough to stain.

A pop of color would draw you in.I love the idea of a red front door. Apparently, the color of your front door says something about the home owners. Through out history and across cultures a red front door has been a symbol. Red door means the home within is a vibrant place, full of life, energy, and excitement. In Feng Sui, a red door symbolizes the mouth of the home. By painting our door red (or any bright color that stands out) chi (positive energy) is drawn to the house. gosh adorable home agree the shutters need to go and a salmon/pink door would look great with the stone. The dark brown stain needs to be changed to something lighter maybe match the garage door tone or stain garage door all of it a different color like the suggest gray.
