When I was pricing out my old kitchen design, the Decora was more expensive than the Kemper. I know Decora does come standard with plywood sides and full extension soft close drawers while these are upgrades in Kemper. I'm wondering if they priced those upgrades into your Kemper quote. Your choice of door style and color can have a significant impact on the final cost. In some cases, a special glaze or paint finish can be a 20% upcharge. In Decora, the Antique Bronze (cream w/brown glaze) finish was a 7% upcharge while the Eggshell & White paint finishes were a 15% upcharge. In Kemper, the Amaretto Creme or Toasted Almond are a 12% upcharge. You might want to take a look at buycabinets.com. They have a spec. book that shows the retail list prices for the Kemper cabinets. They call them Somersby. I'm not sure what buycabinets discount from retail is but Costco had a 67% discount off retail on Kemper cabinets for comparison. The Warwick door style is the same as the Tyson one in Somersby and is the second most expensive door style even more than most of the door styles in Cherry. If you love this door style, you're in luck since you can really shop around as Kemper, Schrock, Thomasville (Home Depot), Diamond (Lowes), and Somersby are all pretty much the same cabinets. I am also starting to remodel my kitchen and from what I understand there is Wolf Classic Cabinets which are builder grade and Wolf Designer Cabinets which are nicer. I realize this thread is a few months old but I am wondering what cabinets you ended up choosing and if you are happy with them. I am choosing between, Wolf Designer, Kemper, Decora, Waypoint Living Spaces (different from Waypoint builder grade). There is also Medallion & Shuler (which I hear are basically the same cabinet sold by different retailers). Another one, Kith by Eudora. Holy cow! I am looking for a mid to high quality cabinet. Doesn't have to be top of the line but I don't want junk. I am also going with a painted cabinet so I want to make sure the company does a nice job with the paints. Etc. The more I shop and read the more confused I get. Let me know if and what you decided on and I would love to see some pictures. Thanks!

We have Dynasty cabinets by Omega, painted white (oyster, with a caramel glaze, very subtle). They are not shaker style, but they are very well made, and we are extremely happy with them. Also, all dealings with the company (through our KD) were smooth and fast, and all of the cabinets were delivered on time and in excellent condition (no returns). They were packed well, and all finishes were perfect. We did add a few trim pieces, in addition to adding a banquette, and all pieces, although ordered later, arrived pretty quickly, and the finishes were consistent with the main cabinet order. We also have an alder island from Dynasty, and it is beautiful. From our experience this past summer, I would recommend Dynasty. I have no experience with Kemper. Good luck to you!

Standard Kemper, sure. It’s mid grade. Not the lower spec Echo. Unless you’re doing an entry level home. Wellborn nothing, ever.
