I would take those header things off the 1st floor windows. Paint the trim around the windows all 1 color.

Sorry not sure what you are asking.I like the color in the first pic. I do not like the balcony thing above the front door . This is an example of an addition that in now way works with the original house . Now you have what I would consider a contemporary back of the house and the rest the more trditional style for the front , the garage door is fine it is kind of transitional the shed needs to be change to look like a pool house. Take the things off the front lower windows do amore modern portico and say good bye to the orignial house style .

I love the Sage gray/green idea with crisp white trim. Beef up the fence and the porthole trim over the portico. Easy DIY clad the posts with boards and replace newels with larger ones. Keep the rails but replace the spindles with the decorative detail. Nail 3 or 4" wide trim around porthole existing trim in the hex shape.

I like the hefty trim over the lower windows, it add weight to offset the upper detail. See the symmetry? Horizontal and vertical lines in the white.

I think a cream will make the house look grand. sounds to me like you have a great plan.

the new porch will be a nice improvement. and the french doors.

Once you have the cream all over, you can play with accents, I like the berry in the pix, you want to stand out from the neighbors, see what surrounds you and do the opposite. Have Fun!

Fabulous Federal Style colonial. Take a look at this antique in Salem MA...once my neck of the woods. I am not suggesting you paint it gray, but I want you to notice how the windows are painted vs yours.

Don't remove the headers over the windows.

I like all one color. Do love the smokey purple. Just keep in mind the front facade suggests Federal.

Very nice house! and I lke the colour of the siding but would paint all trim white along with the front door and garage. I suggest you update the ramp above the front door and porch with one that's not too formal looking, and replace your sconces with black larger ones. A natural fibre runner would look nice on the stairs. It looks like the windows at the back of the house are already painted white.

To give your garage at the back more of a pool house look, I suggest you install a white pergola along the front and replace the garage door with a more interesting looking one. If not used as a garage, perhaps you can replace it with modern looking french doors with all glass panels.

I like the color the house is now. I would look at some of those photos Judianna20 posted about how the pieces above the lower windows are painted. I like those too, and would definitely not remove. I also like the balcony, and would repair it if necessary, but, would put it back to what it looks like now.
