@itsourcasa yes we did purchase the Verona Induction. We've been using it for a few months and absolutely love it. Easy to use. And it is even so much faster and powerful than our vintage gas range which was really great. We don't miss the gas "power" at all - there is plenty of power with induction. Plus the clean up is so easy. No burners to clean out the spills.

Here is a video. I just realized the sound reminds of being on an airplane. It doesn’t always run, and when it does, it’s not always for the entire time the oven is on. It must be triggered on to release steam. It usually shuts off less than 5min after the oven is turned off. I just shut the oven off and the fan shut down two minutes later. Not sure how loud it will sound in a phone. When I replay the video it sounds louder than the reality of it. We do have an echo in our kitchen. Our table is in the same space and the fan does not interrupt conversation, for example - which was my biggest concern when purchasing. We are a noisy family and often have music playing, etc… so like I said, it’s very personal. Hope my experience helps you! I really don’t like annoying noises - and for some reason this fan doesn’t bother me. My parents’ kitchen aid fan, on the other hand, makes my skin crawl 😂. For me it’s not about the volume, but about the particular sound the fan makes. Second video is me shutting it off and you’ll hear the fan also shuts off. Good luck!

hi Maureen, We decided to get the Wolf 36" induction cooktop and get a 30" steam oven (https://www.subzero-wolf.com/wolf/ovens/steam-oven/cso30cm-b-black-legacy) installed under it along with making space for a drawer. Thanks to @malabacat for suggesting that idea. The overall cost of this combination was about the same as a F&P range but for our family the steam oven (which has a built-in convection oven) seemed more versatile than going with a 36" oven. As one example, we use the oven rarely in a given month and when we do we only bake small items. Also because we are veg eaters, we didn't feel the need for a bigger oven. The other feedback I heard from appliance companies I spoke to is that the 36" oven takes a lot longer to heat up compared to smaller ovens. We also wanted to get a subzero fridge and it just helped to keep everything in the same family to take advantage of extended warranties. All of that said, it wasn't an easy decision :). I'm sorry to not have experience with ownership. I'm still in the research phase. I was going to go with a BlueStar gas range, but am thinking of switching to induction. So far I've noticed in the reviews that folks aren't particularly happy with the Fulgar Milano induction ranges. When I was looking for a gas range, I was thinking of the Fisher and Paykel, which I saw and liked in the Yale Appliance showroom. Then I started looking into them, and it seems that F&P is absoluetly rife with service horror stories. They also have a terrible replacement part policy. They only stock replacement parts for FOUR YEARS. While this doesn't directly address your induction range, it does speak to the company philosophy. Doesn't seem very customer-oriented to me. I was inclined towards the Bosch, but then reviewers say that the oven fan is very, very loud and not controllable, which sounds like a non-trivial annoyance. The kitchen is a gathering place in my home, and I do bake a fair amount. There are zero bad reviews on Amazon for the Verona induction range, which is my current pick, but it's early days for me at the moment. Sorry you're in a pinch. Sounds stressful.
