Pictures - Exterior help! Paint / door / shutters / brick / siding

We purchased a new front Therma tru fiber glass door in Raven stain. We are painting our house in Alabaster (definitely the brick but possibly also the siding) and think we want to do our shutters in a black to match the door. Does anyone know of a similar color to Raven stain or how close of a match it should to be? The shutters are not very close in location to the door so I am not sure it matters too much. I am seeing that the Raven stain is a dark brown/black. Also, if we keep the siding the gray it is - would the white brick and black door/shutters look good? Or would it look better to paint both the brick and siding Alabaster?

Last question - should the columns match the trim (Benjamin Moore White) or the new color of the brick?

Do not paint the brick, why introduce maintenance to a maintenance free product. Loose the shutters, typically sliders do not receive shutters and besides they are not fitted properly to appear they could actually be functional (which is tough to do on a slider anyway).

I would be painting the siding the color of the brick. I wouldnt be painting the brick. Its pretty, and I would change my mind on shutter color, if you are going to keep the shutters, please try to color match them to the door. Not darker, nor lighter. Your stain on the door appears to be a charcoal, and not black.

Thanks for the extra pictures -- especially the photo of the brick itself -- very helpful!!! :) So ...... perhaps consider a medium tone of gray that would work with the dark gray roof AND the tones in the brick AND the dark gray tones in the driveway ...... For the door itself -- consider a whiter tone that will bring it into prominence in the faÃÂ§ade ..... The color of the trees really does help to emphasize the pinky-red tones in the brick and the driveway .... BUT ... rather than lose the trees -- do consider having those trees WELL trimmed and thinned so that the color is more balanced in your landscaping .... Yes. I think gray would look good on the siding with white trim. It needs to be a gray that goes with the roof. Cute house and I love your garden.

Thank you all so much for your comments! Just to clarify... I have black louvered shutters on all windows on the front of the house (as shown in the 2nd photo). The first photo shows how it looks since we have removed a few shutters for repair and paint prep. I have seen a lot of tone on tone or lighter colored shutters and began wondering if my black w/white siding on top of multi-color old brick looked too dated. The back of the house has 4 casement windows (upper) and 2 lower. We have never had shutters on these. I noticed that my photos - front and back yard - look almost mirror-image! But that was just a coincidence. Thanks again to you all! Picking out paint colors is tougher than it looks! :)

I think a French blue/gray siding color would be lovely. Make the front door more of a cedar color. Or paint it French blue/gray too. Make the trim and facia a shad darker than the siding.

I think a soft green looks great with blonde brick.

Power wash your brick. It's an off-white right now, you won't change the color significantly by painting it, but you will introduce significant maintenance costs.
