I need help with decorating this wall

It’s a manufactured home with a pointed ceiling (can’t recall what this ceiling is called) The bedroom has closets which make the ceiling off centered. I love the wall color, so I don’t want to change that. Suggestions are welcome. I haven’t purchased a table lamp yet suggestions for that would be appreciated.

Hi, Nancy, that is a lovely purple!

I’d ignore the wall seams and that the bed isn’t centered completely … and would hang a piece of art over the bed as you normally would.

Is there any other art in the room?

Re: the lamp, so many possibilities! What is your budget? What styles do you like? I can envision something vintage/cottage style, or a funky mod style, etc.

You have the accent wall, which looks like a great color, and the headboard is distinctive. So I don’t think you really need more decor on the wall. But if you really want something there, as one idea, maybe some type of wall hanging/tapestry.

Hi, Kevin-- Agree that this spot is a great wall for a truly maximal art canvas or duo of pieces since you've got some flat width to the space. Since you're trying to minimize depth, I think art makes perfect sense. A good general rule in dining spaces is that you'll need a minimum of 36" between a table's edge and a nearby wall for chair pull-out (the same space recommended for the sizing of a dining room rug so that chairs going in and out stay on one surface). If you have that here between the head chair and the wall behind, great. If not (or it's a photo finish), you may consider re-orienting the table and rotating it 90* so the head chair axis is perpendicular to the large windows (sliders, maybe?). If you do flip the table, you'd definitely have space for a buffet to the right of the swing door pictured, so if more storage is a must-have, worth considering. Once you settle on a table orientation, a linear chandelier may better light your table surface--just make sure that your overhead lighting in a dining zone is always on a dimmer so you've always got ultimate control over wattage and it never feels like an interrogation. Great job on the black island, btw. It looks great in your kitchen.

Hi Purvita, Your room has possibilities. To make it your dining room eye catching, It needs to be better defined as a Dining area . I think we can do this as stated above with an area rug, but I think we need to take it a step or two further. I suggest that the interior paint in that area needs and accent color. It can blend off of the soft gray, but it needs to be defined as a space of it's own. You could this with an accent color on the long wall where your buffet will be placed. I know your chandelier has been placed, but I feel that the dining room furniture is set back too far in the room. I would like to see it have more presence. I would find art that has a variation of blues and silvers and maybe a warm color to add a little pop to the color scheme. the color is lovely. accent w/the lilacs/silvers/mauve/pinks/greens.

the nightstand is nice. get another one. or something like tshown here

this bed and side table is pretty.

what about side tables like this w/similar lampls? white textured rug?

similar headboards. look how they've done it: (not the colors, just the overall look)

if you like the gray/white/pink, try copying the bed, rug and bench.

you could do something like this

with a natural jute or sisal rug
