Need help decorating dining room wall
Comments (12)Those curly tree things need to be fronting a door on either side, or on either side of the windows. Placing them so far apart in opposing corners of the room dilutes their impact, makes them look out of place. I'd also take one of the jars of balls off the table and have just one in the center with two smaller candleholders on each side. I love the look of lamps on a buffet, but I never turn mine on so eventually moved them out to make space for stuff I do use. I love that vase with the white flowers. Goes well with the art, but the rest of the stuff kinda distracts, IMHO. In my house, the additional item on the buffet would probably be a wine rack....See MoreNeed help decorating living/ dining room wall
Comments (37)OK, I have only rarely seen a 70" round table so that is good info that yours is 60" So that last drawing has the right size table. Once you get your furniture arrangement set up, then we can determine how to best deploy your art. I'm thinking of a "grouping" on the dining side of that long wall. Perhaps the biggest (crab?) and then stacking some on each side of it, or even adding to the grouping to make up a "gallery" look. We can figure that out later....See MoreNeed help with living room/dining room paint and decor
Comments (29)Yes, arrangement looks much better!! If you are anxious to paint, you could roll out the Natural Wicker, as you are going to need a primer anyway over that deep paint. Won't hurt to use is as basically a primer. I can't really recommend a paint until you are finished with the room. Your next step will be chairs, lamps, end tables, lamps (I would get a nesting coffee table or oval), art and drapes (which are too short)....See MoreHelp! Comments (16)Bergen Furniture - thank you for you advice, can you clarify? Do you mean move the mirror and lamps out of the room and use the 4 other pictures? Also, I should let folks know that I was going to make all 4 pictures white matted prints similar to the small clock tower print - I have that in 3 other styles so they coordinate). I'll move some things around and upload more pictures. Thank you!!...See MoreKevin Blakeley
