Competing wood colors on different levels of house

Tara Burton
last year

Hello! I recently purchased a home that was mostly remodeled in 2017. The color of the main level is dark woods vibe, meaning kitchen has dark wood island with white cabniets and dark wood floors. Main floor powder room has a dark wood vanity.
For our upstairs, we plan to remodel both bathrooms. I love scandanvian modern design and have chosen colors seen attached. The floors are grey, white tile showers, white countertop for vanity and wood vanity.
I love both wood colors for the vanity but like the lighter one more. Except I am concerned with the class from the main level (different floor) of the wood choices. My designer says its a different floor so choose what I love. Do you agree?
Keep in mind, One day in maybe 10 years Id like tor refinish the main level wood floors to a lighter wood stain.
