Are you open to a neutral green? Green looks great against natural brick, IMO and would also blend with the ginger root. I'm not familiar with Behr colors, but if you have a Sherwin Williams store nearby, check out the silvery sage strip with Grassland and Svelte Sage on it. That's one of SW's most popular green strips. If you like Behr paint, take the SW strip to HD and you'll probably find a Behr color that's pretty similar. Another popular SW green is Clary Sage, but that may be too dark for you - but maybe a lighter green on that strip would work. As far as an accent wall, go at least two shades darker than on the other walls. If you go only one shade darker, it won't be very noticeable. Good luck.

Ilovecomputers, I was thinking either a brown or off white/cream with hint of brown. My problem is I have no idea of exact colors to get samples of. I don't want to spend a lot of money on samples. I would like to narrow it down to 2-3 colors, get samples of them, put a couple samples on the walls or poster board and just pick one. I don't know if I should do an off white/cream, light beige or medium warmer rustic brown. I am especially having trouble because of undertones. I don't want the wrong undertone and colors look really different on every wall in the room. I've tried puting the paint strips/samples next to each other to help see more of the the undertone from one to another, but that doesn't help. Any suggestions of a couple/few colors(exact color names) from sherwin williams? I really need suggestions of exact colors to look at because we just painted our dining room up north and I picked what looked like a greige, not blue at all, but it ended up really blue and not greige on the walls. That's why I need help with exact colors to look at.

Cool space. I would consider painting the doors a dark charcoal or black (I don’t know about shiny black through, might be too much) but I would not paint the trim. Keep it white. As for the walls, you could do a color, like a light gray blue or green.
