Show me your bathrooms with limestone
Comments (19)Sweeby- Let's see..... the look I need/am after is something very classic. For the flooring, I had imagined 12x12 limestone tiles laid on the diagonal. For a bit of interest, I had thought about placing a 'border' around the edges of the bathroom which was made up of 12x4 tiles laid NOT on the diagonal. Make sense? I had thought about using one of the whiter limestones with a gloss (to give a more formal appearance). Sink, potty, and tub would be white, white....; fixures in polished chrome. The tub is to be a stand alone tub which sits on a plinth (a stand ..... as opposed to a clawfoot tub). We are also considering a chrome hydronic towel warmer. Where things get mirky for me is the shower and tub surround. Shower is small 36x48 with a glass door. Had thought about doing a mat of small, multi color limestone on floor with the 12x 12 tiles on the wall. I worry that big wall tiles will make the small shower look, um... small. That's all I've managed to come up with yet. I'll see if I can find some pictures of something resembing our bath. Thanks so much, Stephanie...See Moreshow me your neutral bathroom
Comments (10)My bathroom's not finished yet (though it's more finished than it seems in this picture). It's similar in color scheme to Monica's, though I used a travertine border instead of Monica's gorgeous aqua tile. I also wanted to keep it neutral so I could change color schemes with towels, etc. I don't know if I'd do this kind of tan theme for a kids bathroom, though... I was going for a more sophisticated spa look. For kids, I might do white tile that I can dress up in primary colors when they're small, and you can still make it more sophisticated when they get older. Comments (12)ummm, I haven't any. I put up bn look command hooks for the wet towels on the face of the shower as a temporary measure until I could decide on what to get. I only have one place (in that huge bathroom) where I could hang a bar, but the area ended up being a few inches narrower than I thought and am worried about it (a bar) encroaching on the space where the toilet is. I've got my eye on the tp holder that matches the faucets. It's brushed nickel and since it would be on a painted wall, i think it would look better than the orb. But can't commit until I decide about a towel bar for sure and the matching towel bar sets out too far from the wall for that space. So I am pretending that someday I'll figure it out - until then the tp sits on the back of the toilet. I am the only user, so it's fine....See MoreShow me your Oil Rubbed Bronze bathroom hardware
Comments (7)That's so pretty! Rustic and orb is far and few between around here. We just finished (except for tweaking those final touches) my husband's bathroom in a rustic manly palette. ORB is certainly going to take more up keep than brushed nickel. For his sink, he has a Tapmaster and that helps tremendously with keeping the faucet clean. It's hands free water. No electricity or batteries or special faucets. It's all operated with a foot pedal and water pressure. The foot pedal is on the toekick. Here is the Delta Addison vanity faucet (Venetian Bronze). I used the Delta Linden In2ition tub spout and 2 in 1 shower and handheld. Verdict is still out on that. Water comes out all wonky and pressure isn't what it used to be. They're sending another tub diverter. Hope that's the answer. I have a Delta Venetian Bronze kitchen faucet too. LOVE it. Tapmaster on that sink as well so grubby/nasty hands on the faucet isn't a problem. Towel ring, tp holder and robe hook have a rope design. The vanity pulls are a little darker, almost black and have a Texas star as the pull. Finally found a stinkin' train rack that I could afford! Geez, those things are spendy :o And I think I even like it better than most of the more expensive ones. It's substantial and plain. I've got enough going on in that bath that I don't need it to be "fancy". We too did a porcelain wood plank. LOVE it! So far, no one has known it was tile :) I'm sure you'd want something "prettier" in your lovely bathroom but I thought I'd show you the train rack. It's 23.6" wide....See Moreeld6161
