I am not a fan of hand towels because I don't really like the thought of multiple people using the same hand towel.

I have white washcloths which I keep stacked on the counter - I also have a lucite slotted holder which holds rolled ones when I am feeling ambitious. In the guest bath I have lovely disposable hand towels in a container sized to hold them so guests have their single use towel. My white terry washcloths were bought from amazon and were very inexpensive so I have a drawerful of them.

You can install a hook either on the pony wall or the side wall.

I think you have really undersized the mirror for this room.

Here is the mirror almost 50% larger. Can you see that the proportions are much better for the room overall? Imagine how much more you can see in the reflection.

If you cannot find the right size mirror at Homegoods or Kirklands, then a glass shop can cut a mirror for you. The cost should not be too great.

your bathroom is gorgeous. i love the stacked large dark floor against the white, and the round mirror. very elegant and timeless. Hand towel placement is impossible! And i dont see an obvious spot on the wall. Agree with Helen. you have a lot of counter space. what about an orchid and a nice small pretty basket/container with rolled small towels (cloth or disposable)?

That looks like a master bath. My husband and I use the same hand towel in the master and we change it every other day.

You are worried about clutter when you only have what looks like a roll of paper on the countertop. Just put in a hand towel and change it daily - if you must.

I would place it on the right side by the wall.

It’s too late for installing a through-the-glass hook like we did for a shower towel. See if you can find something that will attach via suction cup or silicone to the glass

I would get a glass/suction hook and hang it on the shower wall, or get an over-the-door hanger and place it on one of the doors under the sink.

We just fold ours and lay it on the counter hubby and I are the only users so change it every orning when I clean the bathrooms

Yeah the mirror could be bigger , it looks better in your picture. My sink is also too small. But well that's my lack of experience

I'm ok with the small mirror because the before was LOTS of mirror. So ....I guess I'm also overcompensating

I use a small towel stand for the countertop. I like the towel next to the sink so that I don't have water drips going over to the towel if it's too far away.

Y’all using the WRONG SOAP if more than one person can’t use the same hand towels to dry their clean hands. And the people you need to worry about are those who don’t wash their hands and therefore don’t need to dry them.

@ShadyWillowFarm I use a hand towel to dry my face and I suspect many other people do as well. I don't want to dry my face with a towel that has been used multiple times - even by myself.

How many people use the bathroom? A big stack of simple folded white cloth towels on the counter. Do they need to be big and fluffy? No. You can fit more of the thinner ones in a stack. And a tray of folded paper towels next to it. Options. Guests are smart enough to toss used towels in the corner of the counter and throw the paper ones away. Really.

So those who think they shouldn't use a towel others have used to clean their freshly washed hands, how to you handle those same people all using the same doorknob to open the bathroom door. We are crazy germophobes, I think.

I bought an Ikea shelving unit- tall and slim enough to put near shower. I roll them up and put them on the shelves.

If it’s your bathroom and you want a fresh towel to dry your face every time you wash it (PrinCESS), you put the used towel in the hamper and get a clean one out. Just kidding about the princess part. Maybe. 😎

And here in lies a true look inside the environmental issues we have. The water/soap/energy to clean a single use towel or worse yet the idea of disposable hand towels proves we are soooooo clueless when we think of our footprint on this earth. If someone is USING the towel they JUST WASHED THEIR HANDS!! Again I ask how do you people get up from the toilet? Do you waddle to the sink, panties around your ankles before you pull your pants up? Maybe you change your pants every time you touch them too? They are germier than that towel!!!!
