Yes, before getting too enthusiastic about testimonials for foot fungus treatment on a gardening site, better check into corn gluten meal from other sources, or even elsewhere on the GardenWeb. This product has not impressed rose growers for its supposed antifungal effects, and possibly for the same reason that maifleur has noted - it makes a fine growing medium for at least some kinds of fungus. Not something I'd want to try on the basis of testimonials on a personal fungal infection. Corn gluten meal does have its uses in gardening - there's good evidence that it works as an organic pre-emergent herbicide, useful in lawns (also for its fertilizing benefits).

wowed, I agree with your response, and it's interesting to me. I would want at least sound, if not visual, separation, between a lavatory/dressing area and a bedroom. It's interesting to compare the bedroom/lavatory area/toilet and bath area layers to a palace set up: the anteroom, the throne room (no pun intended) and then private quarters. In the same way, access and function are layered. I think most users would agree this sort of layering is a good thing. Contrast this to the evolution of design of the kitchen/dining/family room area of a house. For me, sound separation of activities (eg., tv watching vs. a conversation in a dining room, or relaxing in the family room without the din of dish stacking) or visual separation (chatting with guests in the dining room while not worrying about how the busy food prep area looks) or even olfactory separation (reading a book in the family room while onions are sliced and sauteed in the kitchen). The grand, open flowing floorplan for these areas is popular, but for me, I prefer a little segregation, especially as the number of users and potential simultaneous uses goes up. Seems to me, as the average household size has shrunk and more people are living in a house of only 2 or 3 people, sure, the open floor plan can work. But for now at least, I want a little bit of separation of activities, and I like my "antiquated" floor plan, with separate kitchen, dining room, family room (tv) and living room (piano). A tv and piano in the same room would be a nuisance for us. So I guess on a more micro level, I'm looking to separate activities in the bathroom. I usually partially fill a bucket with some soapy water to wash my bathroom floors. I usually put the bucket in the bath tub and either fill it using the tub spigot or I've added a hand shower that's quite convenient for bucket filling (or spraying down the walls and tub after I've cleaned the tub/shower area). I did intentionally select a high arch faucet to facilitate filling containers and washing things in the sink (hands, laundry, etc). I am able to fit the container for my little green machine soap/water under the high arch faucet. I could fit a small bucket probably. I have a hand shower attachment that I put on another (unremodeled) bathroom sink that can reach the shower area that I use to bathe my large dog. So I suppose I could see some uses for having the spray on a sink. If the sink was large enough, it would work well for hair washing. (As a teen I used my parents' laundry room sink which had a spray.)

Funny, but I don’t get water splashed either washing my hands or my face. Hubby splashes soapy drips all over at the same sink. One factor is whether one holds their hands down into the sink, versus holding them up above the sink. Pointing the tips of the fingers downward also helps contain splashes. As for the faucet that washes your face, I find it silly. Spit and a Kleenex will do that much washing. When I want my face washed, I want a steaming hot damp washcloth for a sinus or migraine headache, a nice wet facecloth for wiping, or enough water to take off a facial cleanser. That little squirt would have my hot washcloth cold, make me stand there forever to get the facecloth wet, and would never get the cleanser off my face. The name makes it sounds like it wants to do a nasal flush.
