Do you actually plan to sit in the chairs? A tall mirror (as high as door or window trim) over a hall table would be useful as would a tall plant (fiddlehead fern?) in the space near the railing. A bench might be better

Not sure where a mirror would go. I did think a bench might work. Can’t find anything I like.

You have such a large space, you could handle a round central table.

Wow very nice entry. I would center a wide runner on the door and overhead light fixture. This leaves room along the rail on the right for a large garden urn and pedestal next to the door (not too close) with ferns and flowers about the height of the rail post, I feel a tall plant would overwhelm you as you enter. There would be a bench with a solid back centered on the rail. These two things would create intimacy and add focal points for the eye to avoid looking down the well. Center a console along the near wall on the left of the photo along with a large round or curvey mirror to reflect llght and add softness to balance all of the angles in the space.
