Options for change entrance to a Garage Conversion
Comments (1)Do you rent this apartment or are you the owner? If you're the owner, a portico would be a nice addition. It would divert rain from the area right around the door and would also make the door more "important." If you're a renter and plan to be here awhile, perhaps a decorative awning would do the trick....See MoreLarge/alternative door options
Comments (3)The header is not a problem. We'll look into a salvaged door-good idea, thanks! I have to admit that a prehung would be ideal though so if anyone has any suggestions for that I'd love to hear them....See MoreProvia entry door options (colors, glass, steel gauge)
Comments (11)>I should point out that the black color is only available on fiberglass and textured steel Very good to know. Weird. >Why would you want to have the doors most in need of security made of the thinnest steel? I am unclear to what extent the steel thickness affects the security of the door. Is literally breaking through or cutting through the door panel a likely means of break-in? By that theory, wouldn't any fiberglass door be comparatively insecure? I had thought that weakness in the frame and/or locks was more likely to be exploited by a would-be intruder. In the meantime, our decision pendulum might be swinging back towards Heritage fiberglass with a woodstain finish (for the front door at least). Don't worry, we'll change our minds a few more times again before we order!...See MorePrivacy Options for Double Entry Doors
Comments (14)My son lives in LA and when I went out to visit, he surprised me with a wonderful room of my own. It has vintage french doors to the room and to give privacy, he sprayed the clear glass with a frost which you can get in Home Depot. It looks like sandblasted glass and does not look cheap when done. If you don't want to frost all of the glass, you can tape a border around each pane and frost just the interior square. It's very nice and I'm a professional interior designer and very critical. I would recommend this to anyone....See Morehoovb zone 9 sunset 23
