Maybe a cream comforter so you can accessorize bed with the colors for pillows and a nice throw blanket color?

I'd go bold-- orange would look awesome with the rug! So nice to see someone not afraid of color.

You can get duvet covers and shams in the same color, and then use white sheets with an embroidered trim in orange or another color in the rug (navy, green, purple). Then a decorative pillow to finish the look.

It would be nice to see the bed too.

I like orange, but not sure I'd like a big blob of it with that rug in a bedroom - I might pick out the gold, red or blue tone instead...

IMO that bright orange will cheapen that beautiful rug I think gold toned bedding a much more elegant choice I like bright colors too but they need to be tempered sometimes, maybe even a blue could be beautiful

I would use Navy bedding.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are great places to add a big splash of color, as long as it works with the rest of your home.

On the Miller Paint Website they have some color tours on their blog. I wish there were more sites like this where people could see how to add color to rooms and have the rooms all relate to one another. They specialize in the Pacific Northwest and don't have any homes with coastal colors.

As much as I love orange, fuchsia and lime green, my color palette is purples, teals and wine reds. I couldn't make the above room work with the rest of my house.

I attached a picture of my whole bedroom.. I couldn’t get my kiddos off the bed😀😀 it’s not the best angle or picture of my bedroom but it will give you more ideas for comforter!! Also any advice input on any other ideas are totally welcomed

I like the look of the caramel colored couch in Jinx’s first photo with the rug. Would it be possible to pull the rug out a bit more? It seems to me that too much of the design is hidden under the bed.

FFPalms.. thank you for help and yes I need to pull the rug out more and I don’t even know if it’s the right way. It’s very heavy and hard to do it when your alone so my friend is coming to help me even it out !!

Using orange doesn't seem to make sense now, seeing it in the room - all the orange in the rug is hidden under the bed.

Now I'm thinking a pale gold...?

Consider a fuschia tone comforter like colors in the pretty painting.

If it were my space, and I wanted an orange duvet, I would use an orange duvet. Period. And since ANY color of orange would absolutely work with that rug - all the more reason.

If you want to connect with the orange colors of the rug medallion more - pulling the rug out further will be good.

The rug is too small , no matter which way it turns. What are the room dimensions, and what size the bed? Pics taken in pano mode? No. Use a regular setting

I would recommend a white duvet insert, then get a couple of different duvet covers that you can wash and swap out. I buy the cotton sateen or duvet covers that feel like sheets, then use them as the top sheet which makes the bed easier to make, but harder to change sheets because you have to recover the comforter. It’s worth it though.

In the past, I have bought several colors: green, yellow, gold, ivory. The ivory is my favorite. It’s so bright and clean. Gold is my second favorite. The more saturated colors were handed down to become the dog/travel comforter covers.

So if you do duvet covers + duvet insert (instead of the whole comforter in a specific color), you could try orange if you want, but get ivory too, and do the throw/pillow accents. You could do orange euro pillow shams and and orange throw blanket, or orange sheets and pillowcases with the ivory, or pink and orange throw pillows (pink to go with your painting), or patterned throw pillows (Amazon and society6 have pretty patterns), or you can change it up when you get tired of a color, or want to change decor seasonally.

No matter what color you choose, I would use in the layering and when you tire of, it’s easy to change cushions.

Suggest a duvet with a cover, which can be washed more often (and if fabric allows, bleached occasionally, while a comforter gets flatter and flatter. Suggest Ikea for quality duvets, covers and pillows at very good pricing.

I noticed your art on the fireplace, so used pink (could also use use blue) for my inspiration and because I prefer calm colors in a bedroom.

Consider washable cushion covers and try pulling your rug down about a foot.

It has a more tranquil feel, but still impactful when combined with the rug and art.
