It was around $1800. It's more than normal because I got the glass extra tall, extra thick and got the Shower Guard treatment. I probably could have just got the standard height. The main reason I had extra height on the old doors was so I didn't bump my head on the top rail. Since there is no longer a top rail, this doesn't matter any more. Maybe the extra height will cut down on any overspray outside the shower. The Shower Guard doesn't work the way I expected it would. I expected the water to just run off in sheets with no beading or spots, but their is plenty of beading. There are no spots "sticking" to the glass, and they guarantee that water spots will never etch permanently into the glass and it won't develop pitting that makes the shower door glass get harder to clean as it ages. it still takes some elbow grease to get it spotless. I am just not super impressed yet because I thought it would be easier to keep clean than it is. If it doesn't get any harder to clean in a few years than it is today, then I'll be impressed with it at that time since I'm not going to squeegee the glass between cleanings since it isn't supposed to be needed as long as you clean it regularly (scrub it clean of soap scum on weekends etc.) I don't have any more tracks to clean and it's also easier to clean since I not longer have a section of the doors that overlap each other, so I like it much better overall.

I wish I knew. I am always looking at stuff online and that is where I found it. I will try to find it for you. It was rounded instead of flat and very shallow. Dare I say pretty? I was kicking myself for not seeing it before this top brace went in. It's not bad it's just that our shower guy wasn't the best...he had to come back three times and my husband is the one who finally fixed. When it was first installed the door was so tight it would screech when you opened it, sort of scary. Then he had the piece remade and went overkill in the other direction so that it had 1/4" or more gap and water just streamed out during a shower as the head unfortunately faces the door. I did not want this bull in a china shop guy here any more as he always seemed to ruin something else on his way out so that is why my husband fixed it. He centered the door so that there is equal distance on each side but it's still not right. OY VEY! All the while this shower door guy is telling me what a master he is at what he does. Thanks for the compliments, mommyto4boys. Yes, the tub and shower tile is from Lowe's as are the decorative inserts in the floor. Floor tile came from a local store. The bench is a metal triangle (I've seen people call them "Better Benches" here, but I don't know if that's the brand we got) that you screw into the studs, fill with mortar, and tile over. And yes, it's strong enough to sit on. We did a shower pan because I've heard of people having issues with floor grout, plus I was less confident of my DIY skills when it came to a tiled floor with the slope and all. We got it from Onyx (the only manufacturer I found that made this size standard, not custom), and it weighs a TON...took 4 of us to get it up the stairs. The way I put together the tub: 1. built the frame with 2x4s and plywood 2. tiled the top deck 3. nailed the panel around the sides (lots of shimming to get it to match perfectly around the whole thing) 4. glued the chair rail over top of panel 5. nailed the baseboards and the trim that goes over the 135 degree corners. I put the picture frame on before attaching the panels to the tub frame. Hope that helps!

That looks so good with your Kohler pinstripe fixtures! I love the length and the faceted handle. But I'm trying to limit my looking to the 2 choices included with my shower glass quote, so it's basically Victorian or plain. And actually, my Hansgrohe fixtures are pretty rounded in shape, similar to the Victorian handle. So I think the coordination would be good.
