Laundry Room Makeover
Comments (4)great space. if you look on Pinterest or here on Houzz, there will thousands of ideas. search, 'laundry rooms' or 'laundry room make over'. have no idea what style you like, so rather than posting 10 pics, narrow it down to something you like, then come back and post that if you need help getting to that point. I would start w/some updated lighting though. as for new cabinets, RTA would be ok in there. look for a stone remnant on craigslist, or a local stone fabricators shop. Determine if you want top or front loading. maybe a drop down ironing board, drying rack, etc....See MoreLaundry room makeover

Comments (15)I'm 5'1" and have a stacked full-size Electrolux pair in a laundry closet off the kitchen. I have a large island in the kitchen that I use for folding. Not an optimal arrangement, but I'm older than dirt and do a lot of laundry. This arrangement avoids trips to the basement which are hard for me. I have no problem reaching the controls. Occasionally, something will get stuck in the back part of the dryer. I just use the mop handle to move the item within reach. DH is tall and doesn't like bending over to get things out of the washer. I do most of the laundry, so this isn't a show-stopper. I would not build a frame around the w/d. It makes maintenance harder and limits your options if you have to replace an appliance. I'd go for counter space with an open area below for shoes and a small ottoman that could be pulled out if one needed to sit. I'd put coat hooks on the wall between the doors to the house and garage....See Morelaundry room room makeover help
Comments (11)I think blush pink walls would look great with the neutrals you have in there. Consider adding some art on the walls and maybe a nice colorful rug too. I'm not a plant expert, but I imagine some low light loving plants could survive without a window (at least for some time) and would bring in some color and life to the room. Plus green looks great with blush pink....See MoreAmanda Spears
