Comments (2)I just recently joined here and haven't seen your original thread, but of the three colors you mention here, I think Gray By Me looks best with your home site, which appears to have a lot of green going on. GBM definitely looks taupe online, but I think houses that color (and other shades of brown) look great when they are set off by a green background....See MoreHelp with exterior paint color/trim color/roof color
Comments (1)Looks like you have it thought out. I would suggest picking your roof color before you pick your paint color. Paint color is much easier to change over the years. Personally, I would pick a very neutral shade such as grey or black (like you suggested). This way you have many other color options for the color of your home as time goes on. You can find a beige/grey to soften the red in your brick. Versus a cooler grey (Wow that looks really blue next to the top one- but when by themselves, they both look more grey) It will be nice to see how your roof impacts the look of your home over the course of the year and throughout the different seasons. I am not sure where you are located but a north facing home, in the northern US, a grey will take on more of those blue tones. Yes, I would make those attic vents blend in. I am not sure that I helped any. Good Luck!...See MoreNeed help with exterior paint colors for brick and trim
Comments (15)We are thinking about having the beams and post painted to look like wood. it will all be wrapped in hardy which we chose for the easy maintenace. My husband has been researching techniques how to get the wood look. We’ll go ahead n paint all the trim white similar to what we already have with white gutters and keep the white trim on the windows. He’s also researching stsining the brick instead of painting. Do you think a gray color would look good? SW light french gray or go darker? Thank you!...See MorePlease help with exterior paint color and trim color on historic home!
Comments (37)Just a quick update to say I chose paint colors! I went with Miller Paints (only in the PNW). A for the body of the house, B for the main trim, C for the mullions. Also took an updated photo of my house to share for those of you who commented on the vines on the trellises on my house. (Still lots more vegetation to get under control before painting, but it is a constant process!) I'll share an update when the painting is completed, but it will be awhile. I work more than full time, have lots of weekend getaways planned for the summer, and the prep work is going to be incredibly time-intensive (but important)! Just need to get it all painted before the rain starts in the fall. Thank you all for sharing your suggestions and opinions! (Please excuse the hose, garden watering was underway!)...See MoreBeth H. :
