Hi DW- I love Coretec! I have used it in several applications including this Hair Salon, but also in a residential space. The color I used in both of these projects I am including here is Blackstone Oak, and it was selected because both of my clients wanted it to read Warm and cool, and this flooring had a nice mix of the two colors. With regard to the bevel, I would recommend avoiding it, as it does tend to make it harder to keep clean. While Coretec offers a lifetime warranty in a residential installation (assuming your installer does it to specs), but the bevels, while they are trendy, tend to show wear sooner since it exposes other areas of the flooring moreso than others, and dirt tends to get stuck inside of the creases more often. Good luck with your project! Sounds like you're on the right track! This is the blackstone oak in a residential installation. This is the same flooring in a Hair Salon Commercial installation. Both with out bevels so it will stay nice longer! Good luck on your project!

If the room shots show variation...then you MUST ASSUME variation. Sample boards are excellent as COLOUR samples...not FLOOR samples. The sample plank is to coordinate wall colours (paint), cabinet colours, counter top colours, trim colours, etc. It is not meant to give a 400sf replication of plank variation. This is a VERY dark floor (it will be a nightmare to keep looking clean). A dark floor HIDES plank variations MUCH BETTER than a mid-tone or 'natural' coloured floor. If the variations scare you, then you may have to look at a floor that is soooooo dark it looks painted. The Williamson Oak is showing a bit of a splotchy appearance which can give it a bit of a country look. You may want to go with a more classic appearance - a more formal look. Shasta Oak (same line) appears to have more uniformity...but there are still variations inside the plank. The "Black Walnut" in the Coretec Plus 5" plank is MUCH MORE uniform than what you have chosen.

I have Wiltshire Oak and I love it. There is some variation but enough to give it character. It also appears that some of the pics are not Coretec Pro Plus Wiltshire. These are long wide planks. Not short and thin. I have three dogs who run and play on it. No scratches. It’s very easy to clean.

That’s great to hear! Can you post some pictures of your floor? We’re considering this color in the main floor of our 3000 sf new build. I love the brightness but I’m concerned that it might to have a red/orange undertones. Any comments on that? Also, the label says it has moderate shade variability but the sample and photo on back look quite homogenous. Are there any knots? What shade of white did you go with for walls or cabinets? Is BM simply white too white?
