Coretec Plus Williamson Oak - Need Help

Has anyone installed this flooring? We're looking for a LVP that has a fairly consistent color & pattern (while looking like real wood) and the sample we have seems to be consistent; BUT pictures on line show a lot of variation in color. Can anyone give me advise as to the level of variation in color/pattern, post pictures, provide feedback on how it wears? Pic for cuteness (my dog seems to like it!) and to show what my sample looks like. Thanks so much!

If the room shots show variation...then you MUST ASSUME variation. Sample boards are excellent as COLOUR samples...not FLOOR samples. The sample plank is to coordinate wall colours (paint), cabinet colours, counter top colours, trim colours, etc. It is not meant to give a 400sf replication of plank variation.

This is a VERY dark floor (it will be a nightmare to keep looking clean). A dark floor HIDES plank variations MUCH BETTER than a mid-tone or 'natural' coloured floor. If the variations scare you, then you may have to look at a floor that is soooooo dark it looks painted.

The Williamson Oak is showing a bit of a splotchy appearance which can give it a bit of a country look. You may want to go with a more classic appearance - a more formal look.

Shasta Oak (same line) appears to have more uniformity...but there are still variations inside the plank. The "Black Walnut" in the Coretec Plus 5" plank is MUCH MORE uniform than what you have chosen.

JJ, just found this thread, sorry no one responded. There is a huge coretec discussion which has over 3000 responses, in that discussion multiple people have not been happy with the quality of the transitions. Some have bought their flooring from an online distributor who color matches better quality transitions (think it was Nice Floors), others have their installer play around with stains and make their own transitions. Sorry this response was so late, hope you haven't been waiting to make a decision.

Hi Sho - we are still undecided but need to make a decision in the next week or so. We are still leaning towards the Whitney Oak. I would love to hear from someone who has installed it but so far no responses.

Coretec Noble Oak vs. Hayes Oak - Need Help!

I ended up purchasing Noble Oak without seeing an actual sample due to time constraints. I almost pulled the trigger on Valor Oak (really liked the color), but was worried with shade variability that is hard to predict with the actual sample I had. After speaking with a Cortec rep, and sharing what it was I was looking for, I went with her recommendation for Noble Oak. Its going in a shaded basement (but with bright daylight LED recessed lighting) so Im hoping for the best! Ill post some pics once its delivered and installed (2-3 weeks)!

Coretec Pro Plus XL - Phoenix Oak

Does anyone have experience on Coretec Pro Plus XL in Phoenix Oak? I need to make my decision soon. I have a big sample at home to test. Love the looks (and since I don’t like bevels and this has only microbevels) - but not sure about scratch resistance or the white powder residue. What’s that all about? I read some others mentioning it looks bad on dark floors and can’t get it off. Phoenix Oak is light and you can’t see it - but if I wipe it with a black cloth (or wear dark clothes) it comes off. I washed the floor sample 3 times and the powder still comes off when wiping. I want this floor - but not the powdery stuff! I called the flooring store, talked to 5 different Coretec customer reps, and the flooring store Coretec rep. Nobody knows what it is, and say they haven’t heard of it since now. Help!
