We've had our sleep number bed for two years now and we couldn't be happier. My DH would be happy sleeping on the hardwood floor and I like a slightly softer setting, so this was the only bed we could come up with that would make both of us happy. It's not uncommon for one or both of us to sigh and say something like "I love this bed" when we crawl in at night. Its the most comfortable thing either one of us have ever slept on. As for the heat retention, my dh sleeps incredibly hot and he doesn't seem to have any problems with it. We do have to change out the 700 fill down comforter for something a little lighter in the summer, but the bed itself doesn't seem to make either one of us too hot. Bri

Have slept comfortably in a few twin beds for over 40 years, I've been about 5' 9", rather slim. There are two in this bedroom, what used to be stepaunt's and stepuncle's beds. while I've slept in the other a few times, usually sleep in the one ... partly because it's often hard to see the other for shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets, socks, maybe a bathrobe. Thankful that I have a radio that'll run for an hour when I push a bar on one end on top, then another hour when my hand pops out - it pretty well knows where to go. A bar on the top at the other end will turn it off when I leave the room. ole joyful

Do you all think this is a crazy idea? I spent most of the day rearranging the furniture. Took the 2 IKEA bookcases away from the dresser side and tried them as headboards--sort of. Thought I was on to something brilliant until I discovered/remembered that one is the older model which had slightly thicker sides and so stands about one inch higher than the . Argh! (I moved the beds closer to each other which my husband likes. Will likely look for 2 adjustable lamps.) I know we could go get another of the newer style, but I don't know about how far the beds stick out from the wall now. Not that we were using that middle space, though. P.S. Yes, all of our curtains hang too high. We need a handyman to adjust them as my husband and I are incapable of hanging anything correctly. (Especially when not all the draperies are exactly the same length.)

@Lisa - so you’re saying that like decoenthusiaste’s photos, but the sofa could be backed up to the foot of the bed barrier and the white table? @Angel- yes that’s the idea that the space would be living room by day- but with the floating sliding divider “wall” if someone wanted privacy during the day, they would just close off that space. But mostly the sliding doors would be open and it would act like a living room until it becomes a bedroom, basically at night. so yes decoenthusiaste’s idea does provide the bed to be basically tucked out of eyesight… “looks” like a living room most of the time. @decoenthusiaste, do you know where to purchase a divider like that? or probably east to construct I would think as it’s very simple. Thank you all for your ideas!! Trying to figure it out. Yes @Angel, apartment condo and Coop rules are just beyond what someone can imagine who isn’t familiar with it or knows someone who deals with it. Ahhhh
