Well that's something to keep you motivated Funky - you'll get there! I only bought a few things from them - must be 10 years ago at least - and found they ran small. Some things were smaller than others and particularly across the bust if you happen to be well endowed.

It probably depends on the cut/fabric? Give it a try!

In my experience they run true to size but it’s been maybe 3 years since I’ve ordered anything. I wish they had more petites.

I may give it a try-- my bust isn't that big but my shoulders and rib cage are. I am going to be tied up the rest of the afternoon but here's one dress I liked.. it is jersey so should be a little forgiving but i wouldn't want it to be tight.

I ordered a ”pink” v neck cashmere sweater last winter and what it looked like on the model vs what it looked like IRL were not equal. Pink was more ”pepto bismal” and very boxy. East return and they sent me a 15% off coupon for a future purchase. I usually stick to basic neutral colors but with my covid gray hair I took a chance.

Idk, I've had too large and too small. I always order my size, however. Generally I'm happy.

Boden usually gets it right for me.

@DLM2000-GW thank you it IS good motivation! I am trying not to buy items with the hope that I fit into them soon-- or even next spring/summer. It's a tricky thing.

I am going to give it a try-- especially since Irish2 noted how easy it was to return. I will order one dress to try them out-- not sure if the one above is what I will select. It was just the one I for which i had a photo saved.

I think all my purchases from them have been tunics, but nothing lately ( due to wfh).

Those have been true to size. I like that dress!

Just wanted to circle back and thank you all for giving me the courage/support to give Boden a try. The dress above arrived today and it fits perfectly. I was concerned that the crochet top was going to be an issue since there is no stretch to it ... but it fits fine. The jersey is pretty thin but it hangs nicely and doesn't cling or stretch on any of my problem areas.

I will definitely be trying more from Boden-- and maybe some other stores I thought were too small for me!

I am on the fence about ordering more now while I am still losing weight and dropping sizes. The dress I purchased will be very forgiving across sizes but the others I am considering are more fitted/less forgiving.

I have an outdoor spring wedding next year .. I'd love to order this dress for it since it is unlikely to be available next spring but I really try to refrain from buying clothing for "when I am thinner". I suppose I could purchase it to fit now and then have it taken in if needed.

I love that blue dress btw. Sold out for me.

The latest blue dress, immediately above? Last I saw it was available in all sizes. The navy dress is sold out in lots of sizes now. Maybe I am an "influencer"! LOL

Ah, I was confused at first because I thought all the reviews for theEva Jersey Midi dress were raving about the fit and comfort... but I think I figured it out: I suspect you found this dress (below)-- it was also on my list but passed on because I have a similar dress from Jjill. This one has exactly the complaints you are describing.. too bad, I think it is very pretty.

Good luck! I am sure you will find something that works for you. There are so many pretty dresses. I especially like the colors and patterns in the spring/summer dresses!
