Pull the sofa and the love seat off the carpet, so just the front feet are on.

Put the sideboard on the back wall, move the starburst round over top of that.

move the two shelves over to the fireplace wall

put a picture on either side of the window.

A larger rug will really help now that you have the right direction.

Not a fan of the loveseat back on that wall. But RL had sone ideas to try. You can try the console on that wall and add a chair to each end and make the decor on it and above it a focal point when entering the room. Then maybe put a bench behind the sofa for a drop zone when entering. I like a table with baskets for storage in your situation though. I found this picture and thought of you. Rather than a gallery wall a single piece of large art would be striking.

You have a pretty art piece on wall in kitchen breakfast area. Try that above sofa table. The colors would draw the eye. All your art is hung too high. Center of wall hanging should be approximately 63” above the floor. Art over your console should be about 6” above the table. You can go higher but you need to close that gap with greenery or accessories such as books. This is really blurry but the pair of lamps on the sofa table with a couple of plants and a small stack of books with that art from kitchen area would make a lovely look from near and afar. Could you try putting the sofa table down there and lean that art in table to let us see from standing behind the long sofa. You could put two of your ladder back chairs on each end of the sofa table for extra interest too.

Is that a buffet under the window? That is even better over behind love seat. Try that!

I revised drawing. Here’s Option 2. I left sofa table behind sofa. I moved what I think is a buffet to center but pull away from baseboard enough for good air flow. I put a ladder back chair each side of buffet. I put a pair of lamps and we would add two faux plants and a centered stack of books. Art above buffet. I also put a pair of small stools in front of buffet to pull out for extra seating when needed. Thoughts?

The ladder back chairs, Buffett and art from this picture would work great.

I think that buffet is open at bottom so good airflow. 😊

Love everything you are doing, its really making the room cozy feeling and great for conversation.  Using what you have in different spots will also make it all seem refreshed. I really like the two loveseats across from each other, it makes a perfect conversation area. And like the idea of moving buffet from dining area to empty wall..  I did see that you asked about putting two chairs where loveseat is and then moving loveseat to back wall.  I wouldnt recommend that as it will look like you didn't have room for the loveseat and just put it on the back wall.  But, one thought is that if you really wanted to buy two chairs, they could feasibly be put against the back wall angled with a table between them for a conversation grouping.  Concept below.  Not sure its needed based on your comments, but just thought I'd mention.

YES! this is exactly what I meant, the sideboard, or buffet looks really good there, looks like you need to either move the picture to center or slide the buffet toward the window wall.

I would love to see what the round mirror looks like there, but I do like the art. That piece of art might be the best piece you have to start pulling your sofa cushions colors out of as well.

If you need to put the chairs back that is a ok. I would then push the buffet toward the hall window, and put a plant to the left of it. This will make it centered to the love seat.

If I get a good photo of the starburst mirror I can put in the mock up. I really want to see that other art. I am feeling those colors and a green pillow or two for sofas. Or just one lumbar for the love seat. Bbl

Good for you moving the buffet, it looks better there and frees up the window. I think it looks best centered on the wall, and lower the painting a few inches. I like the bright painting!

Here is mock up. I like buffet centered with the two chairs. The chairs add height and that’s important there.

I added pair of light sage pillows to the love seat. I am thinking about what works best with other wall hangings. The pink art might be better in a bedroom. The metallic art might work well on the entry wall. I think something metallic on the big wall might be nice. Mix it up from art. Something like this piece.

Art so pretty. The chair fabric seems 'busy' for a room mostly decorated already... for a pillow, yeh.

I much prefer your art over the buffet. I don’t think you need the poofs in front of the buffet but keep your eyes open for good deal on Facebook Market if you want a couple for the kids? I think you are close for now. Just being budget conscious. Would the starburst work in breakfast area? Then move gold piece to wall of stairway? Anything on the door wall gets very little views except when going out the door. On the wall beside the fireplace is ideal spot for something long to highlight that linear wall.

I am enjoying watching your front rooms get their 'make-over' with items you already have in the house! Just want to say that I really like the trunk in place of a coffee table - if that works for you. It repeats the wood tones of the buffet at the far end of the room and acts as a bridge to the wooden table and chairs at the other end of the space.

I also like Flo's suggestion of a small bench on the blank wall adjoining the fireplace/opposite your entry doors as you walk in but maybe instead of an art piece above the bench you might hang some fairly large framed photos, perhaps one of the entire family along with one of each child.

Was wondering if you are still interested in adding some new pillows and rug to the new set up?  I was thinking some bright pillows would look great with the art and the more neutral sofas…

In our area people often list stuff for FREE; they just want it gone, often really nice things too, not janky stuff that needs a bunch of work. Your progress looks fabulous, by the way. This is all FB marketplace stuff! Even the sand dollar print and dining room table. It’s cherry wood, it wasn’t cheap, but definitely less than what I would have paid new. The trunk was my great grandfather’s.

I can definitely move the starburst to the dining area. That makes a lot of sense.

I also like the idea of framed family photos. It would be nice to display some of that.

Someone mentioned the sheers. I think I need those for privacy. Although without the room being one big wide open space, maybe I don’t need that as much? Years ago we didn’t have sheers and when my neighbor across the street moved away, he mentioned that he could see right into my living room.

Great work. You have done amazing things with tight budget! You could put a picture shelf on the wall beside the fireplace and lean several photos. Then you can change them out when desired. Our kids loved seeing previous Christmas pictures. My sister had them made into really cool albums at Walgreens I think. They sit nicely on our shelf. Lots of options.

I love shopping in your own house. Look what a transformation you already have and you haven’t spent a penny…yet! Lol

I was thinking maybe you could do the paper blinds. the reason I dont like the shears is they are not quite long enough or full enough. You should double the panels on the end. try adding the curtains from the other window to the front window just to see what I mean. we might be able to fool the eye with where the center of the window actually is as well..

Are you considering painting walls? I would hold off on window treatments until you change rug and any wall color. Drapery is expensive so make sure before changing what you have.
