round wall mirrors above sofa

I can’t find 2round mirrors that I like, in different sizes , to hang above the sofa in the living room. Considering now to buy 2 identical, same size ones instead. 24” each. Any advice please? Should I go for it? If yes, is it best to place them on same level?

I have two round mirrors over my sofa and I like the effect. I have a two cushion, tight back sofa, mirrors sized appropriately.

If you could post a photo of the sofa, responses would be specific as to style and size.

I read that for proper lighting of the face, sconces should be spaced 30 - 40 inches apart. Is there a lighting expert out there who can chime in?

As someone with a home that also has a lot of big white walls to fill, please do take your time with this. I know it's tempting to just fill the walls with anything. But patience pays off. We've found it helpful to work with a local art gallery. They pick out art they think will work for our space and our budget, and loan it to us so we can "try it on for size" for awhile. Or if you're more creatively inclined check out toats' threads -- and make your own art!

I agree with Patricia in general, but it rather depends on how gorgeous the kitchen is -- and if, for instance, it might have a window looking out on trees. Also, it looks as though your mirror would be hanging quite high, so that when you are seated you'd probably see only the ceiling -- or might there be a chandelier worth reflecting? Sometimes we forget that what a mirror reflects depends on where you are when you are looking at it. Then there are mirrors that are decorative in themselves -- this variation on a sunburst mirror from Wayfair may not be your style, but it illustrates the point. Doesn't much matter what they reflect, as long is it's not the dump next door.

Susan, yes they are too tall. They should ideally be no taller than than about one inch-maybe 2 inches-higher than the sofa arms. Yours are 6 or 8 inches taller than the sofa arms. Possibly look into having the legs shortened?

With your neat room and contemporary look, would you consider a pair of irregular wood framed mirrors and flip one to get interesting look? Have you considered what the mirrors will reflect? Might try super sized art above sofa instead?

Thank you for the new ideas! Mirrors will reflect TV as well as items on shelves surrounding the TV. I love the oversized art but being not sure what works best, opting for a safer option (mirror). Would love to get any recommendations on art please.
Organic shaped mirrors are great too!

Because it is a three cushion sofa, use the middle as a gauge. I think it you tried to hang the mirrors, one over each end cushion, there would be two much space in the middle.

Looks like it might work hanging them side by side. I was thinking placing them on different levels. Will try this look for sure.
