I have a pair of Democracy cropped high waist jeans that I wear a lot to work. Very comfortable and still have some structure. I find Democracy to be a great fit for me.

Per an earlier discussion about Poshmark, do a search there. Type in the brand name, size, color, of your capris. If you do a general internet search, Ebay may offer them too. Good luck, I get attached to certain clothes too.

I've replaced a few old favorites from Poshmark as well, with tags.

NYDJ has a few styles of capri.. the chloe comes with and without slits. They are sold a lot of places but the big A has a *very* low price on the style with slits. If you like them, I'd shop around for your size. One note.. in my experience, NYDJ is sized generously. I go a full size smaller.

Try soaking your capris in Oxyclean White Revive (not just plain Oxyclean).

Just want to say that I'm still wearing cropped/capri pants. I find them comfortable to wear and cooler than longer pants and sometimes I just want to hide my old ugly knees.

I also really like both Democracy and NYDJ white denim cropped jeans. I agree with Funky that the NYDJ jeans run large. All my Democracy and NYDJ jeans come from Amazon.

I needed a pair of white cropped/ankle pants for a recent event and wanted something lighter and slightly dressier than jeans. I like the Brigitte pants at Chicos, but they were out of white. I found a new with tag pair on Poshmark. Love them.

I wear a lot of white pants/jeans/shorts in the spring/summer/early fall. I always dry them outside in the sun. I think it helps prevent stains from setting and usually bleaches any little spots out.

The wider slouchier looser cuts are much more current. Everything I've read says skinny is classic but it's not the most up-to-date. Some would say toss them.

If you must have something skinny I would go straight leg at the most.

What fabric is your favorite? Brand?

For me, I start my search with the inseam measurement. I must be mindful of not emphasizing my abundant mid calf area.

You are all so helpful. Somehow I thought they were an off brand---I didn't even realize that they were Levi's Denizen. It's not that they are so perfect but they work for me . I have such a hard time finding clothing that fits and now with stores being depleted of inventory it's hard to even try on.

I am open to other brands but I just don't know my fit. I am inciined to shop on the a site because for the most part, free returns ( prime).

I am so thin between my feet to my knees so the skinny are always comfy and flattering. The Chloe and the Democracy ones shared look good to me. Just never sure of size.

I knew I would get great suggestions here, including the white revive.

finally, because I love a bargain ( cheap) what's the really cheap price Funky? I looked and there are so many chloe- couldn't find the slit...

but I didn't click in since I didn't know your size at the time... there are very limited sizes/colors at the price above. Sorry for the tease! I do recommend looking around for your size -- lots of stores carry NYDJ but I agree, while figuring out your size, purchasing them from a store with easy returns is smart!

Tina, I like brunette from Wall Street and she analyzes trends that will eventually trickle down to people like us. Also watching all the Clemson students here. Definitely wearing baggy stuff when they aren't wearing 2" inseam shorts.

@Bumblebeez SC Zone 7 i am definitely not a trend follower. i wear stylish clothing (at least when i am out and about lol) but march to the beat of my own drummer. i prefer to work around classic pieces. oh yes, i drove down the main drag of our college campus recently. the short shorts and tees were about all i saw!

Carol, I find that drawing of relative pant lengths interesting but misleading. It says capri’s are one inch above the ankle, yet none of the lengths illustrated is one inch above the ankle. There’s a pant that appears to be 2 or 2.5 inches above the ankle, then a legging that hits right at the ankle bone. My understanding if the term ”ankle” length is that the hem hits right at or above the ankle bone and capri’s are an inch or even two inches higher than that.

Of course I imagine if you asked 100 different people —even fashion designers—to pick out each style in a lineup you’d get many different answers!

While staying current is ideal, the new wider cuts look cute on others but make me look heavier, so slim and straight cuts for me.

As I have gotten older, pants that fit well are difficult to find. Once I find a style that works I buy multiple pairs. Now I understand my grandma buying the same in every color.

with wide legs, it is all about the cut and proportions. Some look good on me and others emphasize my butt/hips and thighs and make my legs look even shorter than they are. It's a lot of trial and error.

I still prefer skinny jeans to pair with oversized tops.

I did try to find the Oxy White Revive but so far no luck. The remnant of the stain is still there, but pretty faint. I am going to wear them ( they're not formal wear after all, and the stain is below the knee and at this point, if you look for it you will see it but it you don't seek it, I think it is not visible). I guess also nothing really grabbed me. I may try the democracy and or the NYDJ in the interim.

Well 1929 I was super excited to see on ebay ( I swear I searched but clearly I don't have your skills). I was about to buy but they just looked different, maybe shorter. So I went and looked at my jeans and they are Denizen Modern Crop ( also they are not stretch. Stretch might be good). The cuff is different and the shape was different. I did try a bit more searching but no luck. I didn't realize how many detailed photos there were of the label and all the sku numbers..so that's an option.

I also think what you wear on your feet contribute to how they look. My pointy toe flat mules or wedge sneakers seem to work best.

I do like the cropped length most. The only time I wear long pants now is with boots in the winter. It's kind of funny, because I recall making fun of 'highwaters' when we were young. Back then, the style was long draggy bell bottoms with the shortest rise you could decently get away with.

And @ Kswl: that 1 inch is measured on the sloper, not someone's leg, which I think makes a difference. But as I stated, names for these styles/lengths now seem to designate something different than they did originally.
