I am torn about what to put above my mantel - what do you have?
Comments (8)Since my builder's sub did the worst rock job in the world on one side of my fireplace I have the biggest piece of artwork in the house up there, flanked by my 2 ceramic owl vases with green punks and sticks in them. No photo. The fireplace is an embarrassment. Its removal is going on my 90 Day punchlist....which reminds me....we are almost there.......See MoreCan I put two smaller lights above a 60" wide mirror in my bathroom?
Comments (7)Yes, you can do that. The bath bar style is fine but if you choose a vanity light, a two-light fixture is better with a 60" vanity. A four-light fixture is enough light if you want to use just one light above the mirror....See MoreWhat should I put on my walls?
Comments (20)Working full time with 3 little ones tends to prolong my projects. we built the faux sofa table and found some art and lamps. I got throw pillows for the couch (The covers haven’t arrived yet for 3 of them). Do you guys think all 4 feather pictures are too crowded between the lamps or will those look ok? I was considering blowing up some pics of my kids for the other wall If i can find other art that coordinates. Because the two walls are perpendicular to each other, does the art need to be a similar size on the other wall? Thank you!...See MoreWhat kind of artwork should I put above my dressers.
Comments (5)Thanks Patricia. I was considering that possibility as well. Each dresser measures 32" wide. The ceilings are vaulted. What size do you think would work? Maybe 24 wide by 36 tall? I will definitely be posting more pics for advice. I'm in the middle of disassembling my bed to put my new one in and I have curtains coming today that I need to hang. I'll be looking for advice on the whole space to help finish it up. They may not look it, but they're a bit too tall for night tables. I have a pair of Tommy Bahama nightstands that my husband bought and is really attached to, so I need to keep those anyway. I do plan on refinishing those as well as adding new hardware....See MoreAnne Duke
