Help with Exterior Paint - Black Trim?

We have been remodeling our rambler farmhouse for 2 years. We are finally ready to paint the exterior. I am learning toward a black and white motif. We have new black windows and doors. I think I would like to paint the trim black and main color light grey/white grey possibly with some white accents on the gables, but worried it will be too stark. Could do grey with white trim and black on the roofline? I dont know! Help 🙏

Pick a soft white, if you're worried about being too stark.

I disagree about the shutters, and it's not what David was asking about. David, some paint websites allow you to upload a picture of your home and "paint" it different colors. Maybe someone here knows how to mock it up for you. Hi, Liz. I have no idea what any of the colors are. Green and cream are as specific as I can be, but you knew that much. I just manipulate colors until I get something I like, the idea being to help you narrow your range. You still must go get samples and plant them in your light to see how they'll look on your house.

Help pick out paint colors for exterior siding and trim

We plan to paint the exterior siding, trim, and garage door of our house soon and need help choosing a color scheme that works well with our brick and new black windows. I am open to painting or staining the brick to create a uniform look, but my husband is a hard no on touching the brick at all. As you can see, we're growing ivy on most of the front brick anyway. We initially thought white siding with a dark brown or charcoal for the trim and garage door would work well, but I'm worried the house will end up looking dated and busy. Should we go with a dark siding and even darker trim, or use the same color for siding, trim, & garage door? Too many choices. Help!

no. it's a softer white. I used these 3 on my home, from 3 diff paint brands. the swiss coffee was Behr, I believe wrought iron I did on all of the other trim, although you can't really see much of it here. so hard to get a pic of my home because the sun is always behind the house. as you can see, the warm wood tones keep the colors from looking too 'cold'. I did the platinum on the fascia trim only because I thought my roof tiles were going to be darker. but they aren't. wished I had gone w/the darker color. BM brands. shoji is warmer Navajo white would also be a lot more creamier

I love ramblers and with the right exterior color they can be special. Consider going dark grey instead of pale grey. The white or pale grey will have less definition and will be lackluster a few years later.

Using a pale grey/white, the peak is dark grey and consider light tan on the front door elevation

Light grey house, dark grey peak and dark grey horizontal fence on the large flat house side to cover the utilities. A welcoming bright color front door.

Medium grey house with natural stained wood fencing, details and front door

Dark grey with bright front door

I know you said grey, but this is a beautiful combination for your home. Sand paint on house , dark grey on front door elevation and eaves and bright color front door.

This is another color to consider: Dark blue grey, light tan details and black front door.
