Sandy, thank you for the link! I happen to grow a handful of the plants featured.....I transplanted a few from the cottage several years ago and they are growing well. Each spring I go looking for these treasures in the bush but more to enjoy looking at rather than to dig up. The blue hepatica I dug up from where it was hidden from view and transplanted it nearer to cottage for closer appreciation. It survives with about only 4-5" of soil as the garden is built on rock. I have a huge trillium! regular sized ones too and they are companions to Frances Williams. All foliage disappears for the summer and reappears each spring. The false Solomon's seal is so laden with red berries that the stalks hang down to the ground. What is interesting is that the berries are actually green, not red, but as the red spots appear, they eventually completely cover the green! This year the leaves really dried out early, so I cut the stalks down, including berries, to about a foot long. The birds don't seem interested in these particular berries. Which of these plants listed in your link do you have?

If you mean electical boxes like for plugs and switches there are covers made for those. Some come with the box,. Some are bought separately and look like a regular outlet cover plate but with a flap that covers the plug opening. Most hardware stores carry them. Kind of pricey if it's just a temp thing. The builder will provide them at some point. They also make solid plastic plates that are cheap, for interior use but I guess OK for temp, but not exactly weather proof. I'm not sure what you mean by "water"...maybe holes in the wall for future hose bibs? You can stuff some plastic in there I guess, but shouldn't be needed. There are pipe plugs that might fit. Hope your builder is OK with that. Having to remove stuff that wasn't needed can make some builders grumpy. People generally don't care for others "fixing" their work site. If these were suppose to be sealed the builder would have, should have, sealed them before they left. Also, if there's a building inspection scheduled and the inspector sees what you did they may not understand and fail the inspection. Never can tell. That would make the builder more than grumpy. Maybe a message to the builder explaining your plans first would be a good idea.

while they don't HAVE to be on a dedicated run, i prefer that they are. nothing like having the christmas lights or the leaf blower pop a breaker and you lose the lights inthe bedroom! the extra expense is minimal and a 1 time cost, so why not go on and put it on it's own. i actually have mine so that the lights are on 1 breaker, half the plugs on another and the rest of the plugs on another. it is nice to be able to power what i want when i want. for example, this past summer we had 2 HVAC squirrel cages setup as fans for an outdoor party. add in the pool pump, radio, blower for the water slide, and a few other misc things and i was glad i had 2 circuits available.
