I wouldn't do gray cabinetry. Done, done, and done. : )

North facing and gray cabinets is a recipe for the gloomiest most depressing kitchen ever. And that a completely different ”nope” issue outside gray being in fad free fall discard bin disuse as quick as you can say ”walmart clearance”..

I have natural hickory floors in my house. I find that greens and blues look really nice with natural hickory flooring. I chose Clark and Kensington's "Heads and Tails" (pale green) colored match with BM in my north facing white cabinetry kitchen and I love it! I tried many colors which didn't work out so well, but this color totally transformed my northern facing kitchen, dining area and hallway, adding life to those spaces with subtile color.

IMO that color is much too dark for a north facing kitchen. It's also a greenish, brownish color, not so much gray, which I'm sorry to say a lot of people would refer to as baby poop color. I have a north facing kitchen which has dark cabinets from the previous owners. I guess they didn't like the original white, but when I remodel in a couple years I will definitely be going back to white. Even if you don't like white, there are plenty of lighter colors you can be looking at. If you like green, look at lighter, more true greens. Colors get washed out in northern light. Since this is a new build, if you can't look at color swatches in the actual light, try to find another north facing room in your current house or a friend's house in which to view samples. This is a big commitment, so think about this choice carefully. After you pick a color, see if they can get you a sample door before they do the whole kitchen.

I have no idea why this color had gray in its mane this is to me a mossy green/ brown and I can't for the life of me see it for cabinets with hickory floors unless you have enough lighting to light a stadium I agree lets see the plan sand wall colr and backspalsh are the last 2 things you choose .As for what to use for the cabinets I need to see the stlyle and also why hickory for the floors to me always a very busy flooring and needs calm around it.

There are so many considerations, especially the floor. I’d test no matter what color you choose even on an area on a kitchen wall. It’s a huge commitment.

I used a color I loved, but when finished hated how it felt with the floor. (Worked out thank goodness as we painted lowers a different color.)
