USF Fall plant festival
Comments (21)We went yesterday, it was our first time there, we had a great time and will definately go again. I didn't take my red wagon but my DH only had to make 2 trips to the car (we parked really close) so clearly I did restrain myself. We've been to 3 plant sales this month and will go to another one next weekend - what a great month! I was astonished to see shampoo/pine cone gingers 'marked down' to $15 for a 4" pot! They spread like dust bunnies, I only keep mine from taking over the yard because they go dormant every winter and I neglect them shamefully, I can't give them away! Comments (52)I didn't think I had any brand loyalties until I came to Glenda's post. I make a pea salad that my family loves, and it HAS to be made with the LeSeur brand English peas! No other brands taste right! If I can't get that brand, I don't make that salad. I use very few canned vegetables, prefer fresh or frozen. And I avoid store brands of canned and frozen, quality and flavor just seems inferior. I use Viva plain white, 'select a size' paper towels and Charmin mega rolls of toilet paper. Kraft mayo Thomas 'Everything' Bagels Johnsonville fresh brats Philadelphia Cream cheese (store brands have weird texture and no flavor) There's probably more, but my brain doesn't seem to be in full function mode today. We have two grocery stores here, Walmart and HEB. Both seem to be (not so) slowly eliminating name brands and replacing with their own store brands. Which I hate! ! ! Although I have noticed that both, and Walmart probably more so than HEB, are adding a wider variety of some things. Cooking oil, for example. They now offer coconut, avocado, walnut, sunflower, and a couple of others in addition to the 'regular' oils. And also more and more gluten free products, flours, and such. But I've wandered completely off topic, sorry. . . . . . . . Rusty...See MoreFloof! Bathroom closets.
Comments (30)1960ish build. The upstairs hall bath has a wide closet, that's where we have the other set of towels, seasonal towels for the downstairs powder room, the heating pads, first aid, sewing kit, travel kits and sizes, extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss. Also the paint for when I get around to painting the bathroom. The master bath has a cabinet over the commode, wall-to-wall, for a couple rolls of TP, the shampoo I'm working my way through and not replenishing, the soap I've gotten as gifts that I'm now using, our second set of towels, and my cologne bottles. 3 of the 3.5 baths have cabinets under the sinks; they mainly hold TP and cleaning supplies; one also has kitty litter since the litter box is in that bath, too (off the laundry room). Well, mine has some other stuff since I have only 2 drawers. I used to stock up on stuff, but now that the kids are older (one left at home) I don't. Of course that can haunt me, as when we almost ran out of TP lol. The supply is kept under the cabinet in the hall bath....See More*Floof* how many sinks DO you actually have?
Comments (66)Forgot to say earlier I was swooning so over Annies outhouse, lol.... 6 sinks. 4 toilets. The double basin kitchen sink, kitchen/garden powder room, and my loves office bathroom sinks are most often used. That can go down to just the kitchen sink- it's happened during power outages to set up the 5 gal water bottle over it for everything for a couple days. For me it would be really, really weird to have run out of all soap of bar, liquid, foaming, dish, body, shampoo, laundry liquid... to the extent that I have to restock all hand washing ability at all sinks at the same time....See Morenickel_kg
