Colors: what color is roofing material and will it be replaced? Use that as a guide to make sure trim colors work well with roof color. Do not replace shutters on front door or large first floor window. Place new entry light closer to the door now that you are not working around the shutters. Downspout water runoff should be directed away from house and sidewalk. Youmay need to go under sidewalk or dig a french drain. Space between sidewalk and house would benefit from a low maintence ground cover and solar pathway lights. More than you asked for, but I couldn’t stop typing 🥴

Also remove that 1/2 shutter by side door!

It looks like the windows on the second floor are brown, but the windows on the first floor are white? The white is not great with the siding color - unless it looks better in person? The roof color is important - is it brown?

The roof is new, and it is black

the first floor window and doors are new, thats why the shutters are off

I think tan siding with black shutters and white trim can work well, especially with your black roof.

I'd go with navy shutters, paint your upstairs windows to match the downstairs ones.

Except for the front garage, your home is what i'd define as Garrison Colonial style. It really needs no shutters. Just beef up all the trim and go for white Then do a nice stained front door.

The problem with no shutters is the siding is faded

You should research how to do a fade on the areas behind the shutters. You might start with 'Wet & Forget' to get the area clean. Probably a solution of bleach and water might lighten even further. Read up on it and see. Another possibility, and cheaper than replacing siding, is painting it. Is the siding still under warranty? I wouldn't paint if it is; that might invalidate the warranty. You could paint the first floor white, eliminating the shutters there, and painting new solid upstairs shutters and windows in the same white as the windows on the first floor.

The siding is metal, its from 1979 :)

Aluminum and vinyl siding can be painted with proper products. The warranty may be out on something from 1979, so paint away!

Doesn't look like you want to take-on painting the siding so here's an idea of your house with painting the upper windows in white along with the fascia and soffit, and the finishing planks at the end corners of the siding . I would also paint the gutters the same colour as the siding with upper part in white to match the fascia and soffit. The door and shutters are black.

Don't know what condition your siding is in but the look is nice. Painting the fascia and soffit in white also makes a big change. Can't really go wrong with beige, black & white. Good luck with your project!

@lisedv the siding is in perfect condition aside from where they replaced the window and the new side door but will fix it.
