The house is white. We will be painting the house within several months. Deciding on the roof color will determine if we choose a new color for the house. I wish there were a 'greige' roof color.

I’d reverse the color scheme. Light trim and eaves. Add some trim to the bottom windows. And if you aren’t afraid of color, I’d pop the front door with maybe something in the coral/pink to orange range.

Your roof appears to be a rust/brown shade in your photo. If that’s the case, you might consider a gray/green (sage) for the siding. This is one example of how they work nicely together. Different roof color here but you can see how the rust-colored brick looks with the gray/green siding.

Do you like green? Greens are classic combo with brown - maybe because that is nature's favorite color scheme! Looks esp good in a wooded setting. Theres an infinite variety ranging from grayed sage greens, earthy brown greens, lights, darks, midtones (I would do that to give house some presence, but without being too dark ). There's blue-greens, yellower meadow greens, olive greens, antique Victorian forest greens ... I could go on! I assume the white is staying?
