Comments (5)Indian Ripple is awesome and I bet it's an eyecatcher in the garden too. Walter Jablonski probably doesn't get the attention that IR does, but you're so right about the late bloomers. Maybe they know they can't compete with the others so they wait a little longer to make their appearance:) Then they can really shine! Vickie...See MoreThursday's blooms
Comments (7)Goldfinches love all sorts of natural seeds. Around here they come and eat the seeds of the coneflowers, cosmos, zinnias and Mexican sunflowers. But best of all they love the sunflowers. I leave them all for them and love to see the pretty little birds around. Lots of gorgeous clump blooms in your yard. They are really all fabulous but my favorite is EGGPLANT ECSTASY....See MoreSpin-Off pics
Comments (12)I like the columbine/iris combo. I have planted a few beds that way and since I was just getting ready to design another bed, I guess I will need more iris and more columbine. Too bad they are my favorite flowers and I can't find a reason not to buy more.. ME...See MoreFriday's Flowers
Comments (13)Well for once I am happy the weather guesserators were wrong again , or maybe it was just me threatening to toss in the towel but whatever the reason I am happy to report it is raining outside. Not particularly heavily , maybe hard enough to wash the dust off the plants but at least it is something . I have my fingers crossed it rains all day and night but I will take what I can get and say " thank you dick_ in_ohio for sending some of that wet stuff our way.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Today I have Orangutan, Wild Horses , Stella d'oro (does that one count?) and Black Eyed Stella in bloom in June. Never ever have seen that happen in June in all the years I have been growing daylilies with the exceptions of Stella and Blackeyed Stella. Will have to try to get pictures later ....See MoreBrad KY 6b
