Comments (4)Love the older varieties! I had Maleny Debutante for several years and thought it was absolutely gorgeous!! One year I told a garden visitor what is was, she disputed it, I looked it up and it was not Maleny Debutante after all!!! It had come as a bonus in an order, I did not check it out (days before easy googling), and was quite happy with it. I still have that beautiful NOID lily and think about Maleny Debutante every time I see it!! And I still think it is gorgeous even if I don't know what it is....See MoreFriday's Flowers
Comments (12)Colorado Kid has a beautiful eyezone, and I see it isn't all that small. Alas, some of Curt's don't fulfill their specifications. The evaluation process continues after their introduction. I have a few that just never reach their registered height. The best bonus is an extra fan. However, Bold Tiger does provide some nice later color. Granted, it isn't the kind of plant that is going to wow an experienced collector. Some people get so excited about receiving a bonus. I get excited if the plant quality is special. Is Icicles vigorous in the North? I do see more pics of it from the North....See MoreWindy Friday's flowers
Comments (11)Kierabel is it, I did not check my spelling, although I am surprised I got it that wrong. Soli deo Gloria was splotchy those 2 days last week that were so very humid, but it cleared up on last blooms. I got this one spring of 2020, Coach's Magic Man the fall before. I think Soli deo Gloria is a prettier flower, bigger and fancier. Coach's MM has much better habits, I don't remember a bad flower, a little taller, and I love the toothy where edge. I have 4 fans of Coach, up from 2 originally, but it put out 7 scapes. Gloria started as 2 fans, now 4, but only 2 scapes so far....See MoreFriday's Flowers
Comments (5)You're starting to get more and more blooming! I like Buddy's Betsy and Aaron's Little Whopper. My favorite seedling is the Stoke the Fire seedling because of the color combo and the nice edge.. Sepals often look like that with early bloom. I'm sure they'll straighten out on subsequent blooms.
