Thursday's blooms

Did not have much time today to take pics as we started working on the patio at 8:00am while it was still cool.

So here are some new openers and then a couple of clumps shots.

EGGPLANT ECSTASY

ANGELS IN WAITING - this is one blooming machine and still has lots of buds to still open. You can definitely see the Spacecoast lineage in it. Has a unique golden yellow to orange color.

EMPERORS CHOICE- another blooming machine. Many more buds to open yet

and to end the pics today, the yellow finches love to come and peck at the dead coreopsis blooms. I usually cut the dead blooms off but this finch seemed so happy to be peckig for seeds that I've decided to leave them for another few days before giving them a 'haircut'.

By all means let the finch eat the seeds. It is as pretty as a picture itself.

Those are beautiful, Julia, I especially love Joshua Slocum and St Helena Youth, but Angels in Waiting is very appealing, especially with all the blooms.

Goldfinches love all sorts of natural seeds. Around here they come and eat the seeds of the coneflowers, cosmos, zinnias and Mexican sunflowers. But best of all they love the sunflowers. I leave them all for them and love to see the pretty little birds around.

Lots of gorgeous clump blooms in your yard. They are really all fabulous but my favorite is EGGPLANT ECSTASY.

Such a bounty of beautiful rebloomers! I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw the Bird Talk photo. Now that you have verified its ID, it decides to look like it's supposed to. LOL! It's quite pretty in this photo. My three top favorites are Crazy Ivan, Songwriter and Mary's Baby. I love the Romanian Rendevouz twins in their pale state, and Filled to Overflowing is a real looker too. Offtopic, check the bud scars on your Black Fathom Depths. I bet Incendiary was dark today! I loved the cooler morning temps and getting to see the rich dark purples that Celeste sees every day hers bloom!! And I like the shadow picture of Black Fathom Depths--has an "artsy" look about it! The faux Sabine Bauer has an interesting look and story as well. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Glad EITV is blooming for and that it is pretty. I like Coach's Magic Man-that color is wonderful. Lots of goodies on here to go back and look at again.

Julia, you blooms are beautiful and so many lovey clumps. It was so nice to see Mean Green and clown Parade blooming together since here, Clown Parade has been finished for a bit before Mean Green even starts to bloom. I ahave always liked your Ribbit Ribbit and it looks great as always. Pattern Evolution is such an intense and beautiful color. Pretty Desirable is another pretty color too. I like the look of Thundercat. Not a clinker in any of the photos. This was a fun post and such a pretty one, Ju;lia. Aack! Where do I start? They are so gorgeous! I think I just found the yellow I've been searching for in your EMPERORS CHOICE. I'll have to go find who sells it now and hope it's in my price range.

I also love ANGELS IN WAITING and MAGIC HAPPENS and the gold finch. I have a pair of gold finches (one male, one female) that visit my echinacea all the time. Love them!

My favorite photo is of the goldfinch. I really loved the clump shots of Angels In Waiting and Eggplant Ecstacy.

Love the goldfinch picture. We have lots of them here too. Joshua Slocum is a beauty, but I like the clump shots best. Can't pick my favorite from them.

My faves are the clump shots of Magic Happens and Eggplant Ecstacy. LOVE the bird shot, I'd let the birdies enjoy the spent coreopsis blooms unless by deadheading it blooms again in which case I would leave the last batch for them to have over winter time....great food for the birdies.
