Comments (24)Hmmm Maybe nicole is diving into snow. I think that company is for the Rocky Mountain area. Near Rocky Mountains NP is our next planned vacation, so that is probably why I recognize the company name. But I don't know if they are active elsewhere, too. Comments (46)mtnrdredux, back in 1974 when my DH made that Last Super wall hanging, he worked for 2 brothers-in-law that owned a family business. My DH was their first employee. Both guys and their spouses took us newlyweds under their wings. Both of the bosses shared a love of woodworking and furniture making as a hobby. One of the two bosses had designed and made a Last Supper plaque for his house and when my DH admired it, that boss offered to help him make one for our first apartment. So what we have is a copy of his former boss’s original design. Thank you for asking about the plaque. Glad you thought it was nice....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Th 5/5/22
Comments (23)Years ago, when my eldest was still little and my youngest not yet born, I was in Sydney on business when I saw this in a shop window as I was walking back to my hotel from a dinner. I ran in between meetings the next day to buy him and have him shipped home. Sometime after I left the shop, someone tied a handwritten manila tag on his leg. It didn't say "sold" or "Mtnrdredux" or anything you might expect. It said "this horse is going to New York" ... as if he were going on a trip! I loved the tag and kept it on him, until one day a helpful cleaning person snipped it off and threw it out. 😞 The whole family loves him. My SS has twins now, and we look forward to them using it when they visit!...See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - W 10/5/22
Comments (18)This is a Chinese stone rubbing that I bought at a department store exhibition in Japan. Quite a while ago, someone else here on GW posted a print of this same rubbing, but I can't remember who that was. Does it look familiar to anyone?...See More
