Comments (46)mtnrdredux, back in 1974 when my DH made that Last Super wall hanging, he worked for 2 brothers-in-law that owned a family business. My DH was their first employee. Both guys and their spouses took us newlyweds under their wings. Both of the bosses shared a love of woodworking and furniture making as a hobby. One of the two bosses had designed and made a Last Supper plaque for his house and when my DH admired it, that boss offered to help him make one for our first apartment. Comments (23)Years ago, when my eldest was still little and my youngest not yet born, I was in Sydney on business when I saw this in a shop window as I was walking back to my hotel from a dinner. I ran in between meetings the next day to buy him and have him shipped home. Sometime after I left the shop, someone tied a handwritten manila tag on his leg. It didn't say "sold" or "Mtnrdredux" or anything you might expect. It said "this horse is going to New York" ... as if he were going on a trip! I loved the tag and kept it on him, until one day a helpful cleaning person snipped it off and threw it out. 😞 The whole family loves him. Our son and wife were here for a few days, from Virgin Islands, he loves his daddy!!
7 years agoWe missed prime time, but there were still poppies in bloom. These rare and endangered poppies only grow in a very limited area, and reportedly refuse to grow anywhere else. So if you know where these grow, you would know where I spent the past week on vacation. :)

7 years agoThe first of my waterlily seedlings bloomed. Cute, but nothing special in the world of waterlilies,
but will look very nice in a mud bottomed (farm) pond.
