It's so nice to not see his tongue hanging out. Obviously, the infection was causing him great pain. How joyful he'll be when his teeth are clean and his mouth is healthy. He's so blessed to have you, Jas.

He was sleeping on the floor as he is now. I got on the floor to take some pics and right away he was rubbing up against me, putting his paw up to touch me (second pic), just not sitting still.

He's very very content with me.

As you know his heart is still a possible problem, which is why the 2 surgeons, to keep a watch and react quickly.

I'd like him to actually eat canned food instead of having it liquified with water. Time will tell :-)

I’ve said before, he is just deliciously sweet looking. I will mark my calendar to be thinking happy thoughts of Ocean Whitefish!

I'm glad you have a date lined up now. He does look very content so he must be feeling some better for sure. Even if he loses a lot or all of his teeth, he should be able to eat soft food without much trouble. He will be feeling good soon. Continued prayers that he will sail through this and that his heart issue will not be a problem. Hang in there, Elliott, it won't be long now. Good luck, little buddy. You can do this!!

Lily they think he's 7 or 8. He was a rescue and they'd had him for 6 years.

I have a good friend who had to have pretty much every tooth in her rescue kittie's head removed. She was a young cat, but very starved down. She manages very well and even eats kibble though I suppose she just swallows it. They are amazing survivors. I hope Elliot does as well...why not?
