MCM Family Room Help Choosing Tulip Coffee Table

GF Studio
last year

We fell down the rabbit hole of finding a coffee table for our family room/adjacent open kitchen renovation project. Since we're in a mid-century modern house, we're leaning into classic MCM styles like a tulip coffee table. Adjacent kitchen will have white marble countertops (and thank you Houzzers for hours of research on "to marble or not to marble" in the kitchen), along with a white veined black soapstone around stove. Husband made a smooth, light grey concrete hearth cap for the family room fireplace, and we've painted the red brick fireplace wall white. This makes up an entire wall of the family room, extending into kitchen. Room is long and narrow (~14x21) so we had to purchase a smaller sofa (77"). Got it in a light grey (with some thread dimension) performance linen. That's the set up. Would you recommend a lacquer top coffee table or another (yet different) white marble in the room? Either more durable for a coffee table? Rug choices are down to a light textured white (Glimmer, West Elm) or a cream/white/grey (Alverez from Crate & Barrel). Thanks!
