No updates on his surgery. I called today and they've been short-staffed. I left a mssge to have the dr call, but she didn't today.

But, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. He has found the cushion that Roxie used to sleep on every night while I'm working. I'm glad he's spending time with me as well.

Elliott still hides behind the couch when someone comes to the door. He will get over that, I'm positive.

I so enjoyed this thread I am reviving it. This too should be a 'classic' and saved somewhere. I finally got my seat at the KT all in order, took a pic, but now have to figure out how to get it from my camera to the thread. I put it in my computer and now can't find it, but am not concerned at the moment. I am painting the liv room and when I am done, the wall behind the desk (my seat) will be a dark sage green accent wall. It may even be too dark, but the paint is bought so I will slap it on, live with it a while, and see if I keep it or repaint it. Once done, I will get a pic with the dark green also, and then post both pics, for comments. Anyone else not shown us your seat at the KT? More, more. Glenda, did you find the memory card or get another one yet? I'm envious of those of you who happen to have window views to enjoy while computing. Wanda, I see you are quite a 'birder'. Sue...off now to paint again...

You're welcome! For me, it was worth the extra expense to get an authentic looking and quality iron bed. I bought my DS a Wesley Allen bed before I found Charles P and it looks nice, it's a good bed, but it's very lightweight compared to this daybed and my DD2's antique iron bed. Charles P has free shipping right now and I might be mistaken but I don't think I was charged tax, since they're back east. I did wait a few weeks extra b/c I ordered it in a non-standard finish so they made one just for me, but it wasn't a long wait. Another option is Loading Dock Antiques where I bought my DD2's antique iron bed, but they don't usually have many daybeds. You can get a custom finish though if you decide to use a twin. They sandblasted mine to get the old paint off and repainted in a chippy, glazed antique white finish. It's a mom and pop shop (literally), and the wife would call me and send photos during the finishing process. Since it's an antique, it's a few inches wider than a standard twin, but it was easy and inexpensive to order a custom-size bunkie board from a local mattress manufacturer. All my Flickr pictures are public, Lydia. Glad you're enjoying them! I usually go to a cemetery carrying a list of photo requests. If it's a small cemetery, I hope to find the requested gravestone on my own. I did well this time, but this doesn't usually happen. It helps to contact the cemetery manager. Quite often I suspect a very old stone has fallen over, or sunk, or become so smooth with age that the text is unreadable. So while I'm there, I wander around and take pictures of old gravestones at random. Then when I put them on my monitor I look to see if FindAGrave needs them or not. If the deceased person is not listed on FindAGrave for that cemetery, I create a memorial and add the photo. If a memorial is already on the website, but needs a photo, I add mine. If a memorial exists with a photo, I don't do anything with mine. Yes, I can think of two, possibly three, small cemeteries where I photographed every stone in the place. This time I found several stones that disagree with the information already posted for those persons on FindAGrave (different dates, different spellings). I'll contact the people who manage those memorials and point these things out to them.

Welcome to the KT, and congratulations on your new house! I love your 'navigator', Jack! Lucky him. Lucky you. (Our last Westie rode with his front paws on the middle console, watching out the windshield the whole time we were in the car.) I hope your partner packed for different kinds of weather. We're at 70F north of Chicago along Lake Michigan today, but going to hit 90F tomorrow...then, finally, a cool down.

I just remembered this one. He was sitting facing me with all the white showing. I thought his face looks like a Mardi Gras mask.
