Glad to see that I'm not the only one who puts "sticky" note reminders all around the computer.

This is great. It shows how intelligent we all are. A messy desk is the sign of great intelligence. I'll post a picture when I find out how to do it.

Here is where I usually spend my evenings after work, whild dh watches the tv behind me. I LISTEN to a lot of "JAG" and "Home IMprovement"! LOL! I listen to alot of movies like that, too.

I've been gone all day and I have to say this has been a most interesting thread. It's fun to see everyones space.
I have to comment about my "desk". It's an old nursery cart. The Jewel Nursery in Lake City, Mn was in business for over 150 years. It was sold out in 2001. They had these great solid oak carts for moving around bare root stock in the warehouse. I bought 2 of them. One I shortened and made it a little lower, added a cutting board top and it's an island in our kitchen. This one was left in it's original condition and is my computer desk in the basement.

Okay, I get the Mess Award. As you can see, I made no attempt whatsoever to tidy up before taking this picture. It's usually not this bad. Well.....yes, at least 75% of the time it is. But at least I don't usually have the stack of Christmas cards under my papers. :-)

Except for the photographs, which are mine, the art on the wall was done by my friends. The award at right was given to me at the end of 1995 for my efforts in reuniting WWII veterans witih each other.

Here is mine, it's in kitchen. When grandkids talked me into getting a computer ( as much for them as me) i knew they would be on it alot when here. The kitchen is the place i'm at the most so by putting it in here i could keep track of what kids were doing. My DH built this desk and storage cabinet to fit between the windows. the cabinet had to be built shorter because it had to go under window. Works just great here.

OK, for those of you who's desk are so neat and orderly, not only are you of exceptional intelligence, (pertains to ALL the posters here at the KT), but ALSO, have all that class AND effenciency, to boot! Amazing.

So I guess I have to sign up for Photobucket to do this? I tried yesterday, but the site is intimidating with all those pages of legalities. After reading the third page, I gave up. Thanks okwriter, I may take you up on the offer. It'll take a day or two to clean up the desk! Remember what I said!?? LOL

I use a wireless laptop! So, it is stored on an open shelf in that round drum table. I sit in the chair with the ottoman. I can watch TV, look outside and generally carry on conversations with DH while I'm on the computer.

Here's mine, another bedroom space being used as an office. I like this L-shaped desk, because there's room for my both PC and my work laptop.

In front of me and to the right & behind just a bit, are windows, so I can see what's happening outside. I love the breeze when I can have the windows open, and listening to the birds. The window in front of me is the one that I bought four years ago and DH just installed it a couple of months ago. I have a little TV & DVD/VCR player over to the left, so I can watch shows while I'm playing, reading or working.

LOL! You're right, Stacy! The bagel & cream cheese & milk were supper, and the popcorn is a Topsy's mix of cheese, caramel and cinnamon for munching, along with a bottle of water. This was all after the clementine when I first got home.

Alisande, that's the progress screen for the game Sceptor of Ra on my desktop monitor. It just became available through Comcast last week, and I had to get it right away.

YAY! More pictures! I was a good girl and actually worked yesterday, but I was so excited to get back here and see if more of you had posted about your seat at the KT! I can't see ritamay's. ??

Alisande, I don't even know what color it is. True story: when we built our house, I had 24 hours to choose an interior paint color. I went to Lowe's, narrowed them down, and picked one. Turns out the color I liked was some designer paint (read: big $$$), so I had Lowes match the color and mix it in a less expensive (American Tradition) base.

It's on walls and ceilings in our entire home, except I did a glaze last year in the master. It looks GREAT with that base coat!

I so enjoyed this thread I am reviving it. This too should be a 'classic' and saved somewhere.

I finally got my seat at the KT all in order, took a pic, but now have to figure out how to get it from my camera to the thread. I put it in my computer and now can't find it, but am not concerned at the moment.

I am painting the liv room and when I am done, the wall behind the desk (my seat) will be a dark sage green accent wall. It may even be too dark, but the paint is bought so I will slap it on, live with it a while, and see if I keep it or repaint it. Once done, I will get a pic with the dark green also, and then post both pics, for comments.

Anyone else not shown us your seat at the KT? More, more.

I'm envious of those of you who happen to have window views to enjoy while computing. Wanda, I see you are quite a 'birder'.
