i like the ebony or the 50/50 ebony/gray with your tile and granite since it has a cooler tone. one question is, do you plan to have a smooth glossy top coat? with darker color floors, that can sometimes show a lot of dirt, thus be a bit more high maintenance. we had dark glossy floors with a small dog in our previous home and all of his paw prints and dust could be seen everywhere. in our current house, the floors are matte finish and it shows nothing even though my cleaning skills have not improved, lol.

So if you're talking about the room that is adjacent to the LR/DR/Kitchen area, where I see a parson's table and a picture hanging on the wall, then here's some thoughts. Although I like the console you posted, if you put the TV above that and then high shelves on either side, then you will have kind of an awkward empty space above the TV with high shelves on either side filled with things. So the void will stand out even more. If it were me, I would consider custom build shelving, with maybe some molding or other shelves above the TV. Another option to consider is a fake electric fireplace. My dad has one in the basement and actually gets a lot of compliments on it. It is in no way made to resemble an old time fireplace, in fact it might better be described as a "decorative electric heater." Anyway, I have seen those installed, but just tossing it out there. I love the console you posted, but I see that going more with open shelving or some floating shelving. But maybe you could find something really stunning to go with it by the way of shelving. I dunno, that's why I might consider custom, to get the look I wanted.

I don't mind the bookcases the way they are. If you can swivel the TV stand, I'd leave it as is; otherwise, on that same wall on an arm should allow both uses. The two chairs look totally lost in the space, however, like someplace you'd use for a kid's time-out. I'd go for a couple of armchairs that you'd actually want to sit in to read or watch TV, or one armchair and a loveseat under the window.. Put a table lamp on the small table, or better yet, get a bigger table that would extend forward into the room between the two chairs. Try to create the feeling of a place somebody might sit to talk to the chef or to talk to another seated person...
