Black exterior/white interior windows for remodel
Comments (12)@jn3344...your post is so helpful! Thank you!! And I love your home. Gorgeous!!! I'm down to black on black Anderson100 or Marvin Integrity all Ultrex with black exterior and white interior, painted black. But I want to see a painted Ultrex product. It's hard for me to believe I won't be able to take a fingernail across it and scrape it off?. I'm probably borrowing trouble even considering this. I'm not sure if I was quoted incorrectly, but I my Marvin Integrity quote is actually less than the A100 quote (from different seller), which is why I'm considering the paint option. Why are windows so difficult? (And so many more decisions to make)...See MoreBlack Interior + Black Exterior Vinyl Windows
Comments (20)Does anyone know a window company/manufacturer in the Atlanta area they would recommend for black interior/black exterior windows? I do not want wood--do not want the upkeep. We did a house remodel that just finished and replaced some of the windows. I dislike the wood interior which we had to paint and it's only been a few months and it is already chipping and is extremely sensitive to any "use". I want a window that I can install and not worry about again...for a while. But it has to be black/black. I'm open for any suggestions and not married to any brand. Thank you....See MoreBlack windows exterior and white interior
Comments (28)Split finish pricing will vary depending on the product, it will generally be lower on vinyl if either side is white. Regarding what is seen, yes, you will always see the opposite side to some degree. The extreme contrast between black and white jusyt makes it more noticeable. Most folks are okay with it when the window is closed, its when its opened and you see the transition from one color to the other that is questioned more frequently. As Todd said, casements look nicer than double hungs as they don't having the balance channels, etc. and they have a more logical "termination" point for the color....See MoreAnderson black interior /black exterior windows unavailable?
Comments (8)We ordered our windows last spring, were told it would be a 3-4 month wait. Then we found out that there was a pigment shortage that affected many of colours - black, charcoal, bronze and sandalwood are the ones I know for sure were affected. It delayed our (charcoal) windows by a couple of months. We just went to order one more window in the same finish and are now being told the wait is more like 8 months. Incidentally our fridge (which was supposed to be guaranteed 6 months lead time) is now 12+ months and counting....See MoreHU-330329562
