Covid is in the house

I tested Tuesday night last week. Negative.

Wednesday (both nose & throat) Negative. twice because I started to get a sore throat

Thursday again: negative. Throat still sore. Started thinking maybe strep, but I mask at work and don't know where it would've come from...

Friday morning woke up after 10 hours sleep which is unusual for me. Had a coffee and wanted to go back to bed for 10 more hours. Throat still sore. Do I have a fever? I don't know. Check temp: 100.1F. Dagnabit! Okay, test again. Super duper super faint line next to the T. That was the nose. Let's try the throat. Again, super duper super faint line. Asked my husband, "do you see a line?" Yup, but hardly there. Well, a line is a line. Just like you can't be a little pregnant, you can't have a little Covid. Called work and I've been off since.

Symtoms:

  • sore throat
  • sore ears

headache

  • lost appetite
  • froggie voice
  • fatigue
  • dizzy now and then

Trying to drink plenty of fluids isn't easy. I'm not thirsty. I've been in my bedroom most of the week to avoid giving this to my husband. I feel fine most of the time. When I get up and walk around, I start coughing. I keep my window open as much as possible for both fresh air and sun.

I'm glad I'm 2x vaxed and 1x boosted. I would like to thank my co-workers who let everyone and their dog inside their homes or go to parties for this. I've lost five days pay so far, and will lose another one tomorrow. If I don't test negative Monday morning, I'll miss another days pay.

I'm actually lucky! We buried my husbands aunt on Tuesday I had to miss the funeral, you know: I have covid and didn't want the rest of the family to get it. Oh, she died of a stroke brought on by Covid. She had her shots: all three of them. This variant doesn't care.

Wear your mask. Stay home. Keep your friends out of your house, especially if you don't know what they do in their spare time.
